Oh, how lovely! Some more self-aware knuckle-dragging from 'ronnielong'.... I do love your "enlightened ape" routine, dear, and find it not at all simplistic and tiresome. Do drop in sometime to crush beer cans on your forehead, won't you dear?

Love,

MoM

Oh dear, you are such a pistol. Wink This has to be one of my favorite lashings on Mac Jams… It is hard to reply to however, mainly because my knuckles are bloody and bruised from dragging on the ground all day.

Looks like I struck a nerve though… and you responded in true “christian” manner. Good for you. I’m glad the Bible teaches such tolerance… well, once you get past the fear mongering, homophobia, xenophobia and blatant misogynistic views. Oh yeah, and that animal sacrifice thing.

Yup, I could practically cut your arrogance and holier than thou attitude with a knife. Actually, I could probably crush a beer can on it. WooHoo! No more forehead pains!

It’s a good thing my enlightened ape brain can sense sarcasm… Or I would have actually thought you were inviting me over for dinner and a shag. Wink

Oh, and just to clear things up... I keep it simple, mainly because I don't like to waste my time on people who believe in invisible space daddies.

Love,

ronnie

Goodness, I'm afraid you've misunderstood me.

It isn't your opinion of Christianity that I was commenting on, dear. Your SCHTICK is what I find so compelling. The 'Cro-Mandarin' bit requires great discipline, depending as it does on staking a position of intellectual transcendence by way of blinkered belligerence.

The thinking man of the 21st Century requires only a handful of youtubes, a frosty bucket of LOLs and his parents' basement to thrash it all out.

Far from chastising you, I salute your high entertainment value with a hearty, "Well Done"!

xoxo,

MoM

Not to cause unnecessary trouble, but, I am curious. Why stop with Ronnie, there must be a whole bunch of (us?) people who are generally disliked, despised, and unwelcome on the forums here.

It might be constructive if we could get a big list of all the people who are likewise cro-magnon (wait... is Ronnie Chinese?) knuckle-draggers. Maybe we could start up a knuckle-dragging club complete with knuckle-dragging forum. I bet we could exchange some ideas and maybe even start our own little colony. I am open to the possibilities. Of course, we may want to hold some formal votes to ensure consensus. I think this is a great opportunity to segregate ourselves into groups that won't have to agree with each other or even hear viewpoints that are not like our own. This should give us many more opportunities to carry on in isolated focus of our own conceived goals. Some might call that efficiency.

I'll go first, why not. So, what do you think, knuckle-dragger or not?

Is this why people start wars over this? There seems to be no real agreeing to disagree on this one.

I think we better think of to be good neighbours instead of finding
ourselves a better species and go to live on our own seperated ..
I would sit and let the opposite respect me as I behave respectfully
and let them respect me ...unless they are NOT ... which rarely be !

no need for segregation !!!

I was sorely tempted to post a single "not" in response to your post; but the fun wouldn't last very long, and the chaos that would surely follow would be ugly for everyone.

You have misread the exchange between ronnie and me. It is not about religion, ideas, ethics or anything else. It is about his persona, his presentation. His reply to my initial 'observation' was in good humor, and I am responding in kind, without malice. This is a questionable forum for the exchange, I agree. But sit tight: it won't last long (just long enough for you to look up the word 'mandarin' and appreciate my use of it), and the thread will once again return to its measured pace of scholarly inquiry.

Well responded, though I am at present --and not in isolated company I take it -- losing my grasp over the difference between sarcasm and actual musing. I will say "thank you" for the "not" vote which was cast by you, my formidable opponent in this volley. I assure you my intentions are generally good, though sometimes mischievous. There is at least some fun and humor to be found in subtle satiric derision -- without malice, as you have indicated.

Now, in all seriousness, let's all have tea. Smile
