That Buddha was a pretty wise fellow.

Skean, I think the apostle James might have taken acception to what Hitler claimed. It does no good to claim having faith if your deeds prove against it. You fool nobody but yourself. Hitler was no christian.

Goodness, I'm afraid you've misunderstood me.

It isn't your opinion of Christianity that I was commenting on, dear. Your SCHTICK is what I find so compelling. The 'Cro-Mandarin' bit requires great discipline, depending as it does on staking a position of intellectual transcendence by way of blinkered belligerence.

The thinking man of the 21st Century requires only a handful of youtubes, a frosty bucket of LOLs and his parents' basement to thrash it all out.

Far from chastising you, I salute your high entertainment value with a hearty, "Well Done"!

xoxo,

MoM

Oh MoM…. You are so silly… 'Cro-Mandarin'?? I didn’t realize I was Chinese Wink… thanks for pointing that out though…

Dear, I fear you are out of your depth… judging me, without knowing me… is that a christian trait?… judging a book by its cover?… thanks for proving my point.

Oh yeah, I happen to own the basement where we “thrash out our buckets of lols”… so again, fuck you very much for judging me. Smile I’ve been on my own (and married) for the past 7 years btw.

So, sorry you are old, but “YouTube” is actually a very formidable medium these days… so I apologize for staying “with the times”… shall I send you a letter via pony express??

Shall I expect a response in this very forum? Or shall you resurrect Morse Code?

Maybe my ape brain has failed me once again… please help o-wise one…

xoxo

Ps. Invisible Space Daddies is an AWESOME band name… who’s in? I call guitar…

Oh, Ronnie! Thank you so much for this latest and most generous spasm; it's really more than I could have hoped for.

My time belongs to others this morning, so I don't have the luxury of sifting through it all right now. I would like to straighten out a few things, though:

This 'Cro-Mandarin' business seems to have flummoxed even the sensate members here, and for that I apologize; my literary idiosyncracies often get the better of me. But if you go back and have someone read to you the last few pages of this thread, you may sense a poetic collision in the epithets I used: "self-aware knuckle dragging", "enlightened ape". In each, I am trying to wrap up as neatly as possible the "ronnielong posturing" of graceless 'horse-sense' masquerading as high intellectual achievement. 'Cro-Magnon' is an obvious candidate for this treatment, but it needs a foil. Besides Asians and oranges, 'mandarin' also means, 'one who is intellectually refined", so it fits my purposes very nicely. Hence, 'Cro-Mandarin'.

I'd love to have a Forum discussion about youtube (and 'vapor media' in general); THERE'S a topic I could really get my dentures into! Perhaps we can get one going? In the meantime, though, thank you for your contribution to this thread, dear. It really has been a pleasure.

But, ronnie, dear, one more thing: age is not a moral failing manifested in the flesh. It does not come about as a result of inner putrefaction, and it is not to be despised in others.

It is also... like me... something of an illusion ;-)

Love,

MoM

Oh MoM... I too happen to be short on time as I am about to hop on a plane and jet off to Dublin, Ireland... consequently you all will receive a rest from my antics as I will be without "internets" for the next 2 weeks Smile but I'll be back... if this thread is still alive... and it very well may be...

Luckily I was able to get someone to recite the last few pages of this thread to me, as there is no youtube video for it yet...

Now, let me clear a few things up... the 'cro-mandarin' thing as "ronnielong being chinese" was obviously put forth as a joke... hence the >>>>> Wink

I am glad, however, that you are so impressed by my "horse sense"... shall I take it as a compliment that I can fake human-like intelligence so well??? Maybe I'm aiming too high? Is there medication to control such spasms? I mean, I had to break out my dictionary to figure out half of the shit you just said. Why, oh why am I cursed with this damn ape brain!! I am so lost...

Tis my own fault I suppose... Alas... I seemed to have illustrated a harsh and belligerent persona for myself... which I admit has made me no better than the dark-age dwelling "bible thumpers" of today...

Oh thank you MoM, for showing me the way... I am saved!

BTW I'd still like to come over for dinner and a shag... age is no barrier for me... maybe you can even take out your dentures?

Perhaps we shall discuss YouTube and the decline of mankind once I return from holiday?

Keep in touch.

Wink

Hey! pablatone,
I did not say anything about Hitler, was a Christian, and I did not like him cos I hate WARS.
I guess it was he's on words? he hated Christians

One reason Hitler “hated Christianity” was because he believed that “it had crippled everything noble about humanity”

A popular image of the Nazis is that they were fundamentally anti-Christian while devout Christians were anti-Nazi. The truth is that German Christians supported the Nazis because they believed that Adolf Hitler was a gift to the German people from God. German Christianity was a divinely sanctioned religious movement which combined Christian doctrine and German character in a unique and desirable manner: True Christianity was German and True German-ness was Christian.

And I'm still a Viking who believes in freedom and peace for all people on this planet, even if it never come to happen, I have to believe in peoples fait.... God bless America, let's go out in WAR (I just kidding) but if all the wars who is on now is about peace on earth I promises you to eat my car.

Peace & Cheers

First, can you eat your car anyway? It sounds like it would be cool so why wait? I would really like to see! Smile

Second, I have enjoyed your contribution my long lost Viking brother.

I'm liking the idea of edible cars too. Maybe you two can get some Viking ingenuity on it and get it going. There's got to be a market for it. ;^) Can you make mine taste like steak?

Some guy did eat a whole car. Google it. It may have been in Guinness Book of World Records.

Also the subject of the novel "Car" by Harry Crews.

Yes, I'd love to 'discuss' youtube with you when you get back; do drop me a line and we will set up our bout.

Oh, and I am sorry, dear, but I don't take my dentures out until I get to know you better....!
