Studio question
Saturday, November 05 2011 @ 10:22 AM CDT
i'm looking for advice
i would like to direct the output from my iMac to several different amps, speakers, and headphones. it would be great if i had faders on each one, but a simple on/off switch for each output and a single fader would do. right now i just unplug and replug wires to do it, but there must be a better way. any suggestions? thanks |

is this for listening in other areas of the house/yard or just to hear sound through different sources in your studio?

I use a little 4 channel headphone amp to run a stereo signal out to different speaker sets for monitoring and my headphones.

I use one of these headphone amps.http://www.gak.co.uk/en/behringer-amp-800-headphone-amp/1177
Line-out from the imac to the headphone amp then that gives you 4 stereo outputs + headphone monitoring. Just press the mute button to mute the output to your speakers so you can monitor acoustic recordings via headphones. Hanging in with the out crowd (All rights reserved) |
