I'm a late bloomer in the 'scene' music-wise because of previous life circumstances, but I've been out in the local music scene quite a bit lately and just got back from watching some friends play a show and I got asked to be in three bands.

If you wonder why I'm posting that experience here, I think it's because I started here before I ever started playing out and it was a big help to my confidence in the beginning of my most recent musical growth. It's a gratifying experience to have your music be appreciated. I hope everyone in MJ world is doing well and I'm going to keep trying to participate here no matter how busy I get in real life. Hope everyone is doing well here, I wanted you all to know that MJ's is a great inspiration to a lot of people in ways you might not even understand.

Great experience and it's very inspiring to read it ! I think anything is possible, specially when someone works hard and receives support and encouragement like in this community.

Hope all goes well and you take the offer of your favorite band, or ... why not, all 3 of them, if you have time :-)

Good for you, Brian!

It's also gratifying for those of us who are looking at live musical performance in the rear-view mirror, knowing there are folks out there who are still enthusiastic about making real music.
