Re:Warm isn't it?
Saturday, July 14 2012 @ 12:13 PM CDT
Another ten or twenty years of data will settle the science indisputably. If the vast majority of climate scientists are right it will be too late by then to avoid costly, disruptive, and potentially tragic climatic effects.
I don't have kids. I can afford to be an impartial observer. I suspect this "debate" will end up just like the evolution "debate" and that other "liberal science is lying" conspiracy...what was it? Oh yeah: ![]() ![]() No one here is qualified to have an opinion on climate research. If someone you loved were suffering a rapidly progressing neurological disorder you wouldn't diagnose them based on something you found on the internet, you would take them to several neurologists. If you took them to 100 neurologists and 98 issued the same diagnosis and prescribed immediate (but painful) treatment while the other two chalked it up to psychosomatic disorder - well, you have a tough choice to make. Physics is physics. Physics doesn't care about opinions, politics, or economics. The "debate" in this forum is completely irrelevant. If you care about this issue then instead of writing another forum post, write to your members of congress. See you in hell!* * This colloquialism is in no way meant as an endorsement of theism or creationism. |

Ideological posturing, the dissemination of self serving inaccuracies, and the wholesale dismissal of people with opinions as cultists made the issue irrelevant. However - I did enjoy my discussion with MoM about the role of government, that did not rely on quoting "experts" from the internet. It's better to regret something you have done, than something you haven't done. |

Actually, Mr. Dots, Kevin and Smokey contrived this faux debate in order to generate involvement at MacJams as a way to pre-game the upcoming MJ Festival. These sly liberals, you can never trust them! ![]() Maybe there's a festival song somewhere in all this blather; then not a total waste of time, eh? - cheers and best to all |
