A lot of people sign up to Dropbox (www.dropbox.com) and share files that way, which assumes she has Internet access and can download files of GarageBand size. Or could you just copy the file to a USB memory stick or CD and post it to her?

If file size is a concern, make sure all tracks are unlocked. Locked tracks increase file size dramatically.

make sure those two computers are running the same version of GB.

if not, one of these two things will happen:

on your daughter's laptop when you load your project it will refuse to do it if your version of GB is newer than her version. and you're stuck.

more dangerous, when you go to save your changes on the laptop, it will say it needs to update the version of the project. when that happens, it means you won't be able to load the project back into GB on your computer later on. then you're stuck.
