Yay - this thread again.

Well, Eric Clapton's solo on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is pretty good, to be sure, but I'm not sure it kicks ass as much as that Hawiian Uekulele player's version of the same tune, you know, the guy whose video everyone's been talking about? Anyway, Global Warming wouldn't be happening if it weren't for loops, and that's a fact. Also, the voting system should really be overhauled, and pronto, although really, it's pretty good the way it is, so never mind.

Oh man....

I was just clicking on here to find out WHO IN THE WORLD THOUGHT WE NEEDED TO ADD THIS THREAD TO THE MIX RIGHT NOW?...

Good one. I'm sitting here with a grin on my face for the first time tonight. Thanks.

Ed

Seriously. I don't know why I'm reading this entire thread. Loops are samples. Samples are parts of songs. So is talking, birds chirping, any freaking noise anyone wants to construct into the form of a song.

You don't like it? Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.

PS: I do it all. I play guitar, piano, flute, bass and I also love to play with loops. I wirte lyrics, melodies, harmonies. It's called diversity. Look it up, Putz. All that knowledge will you help you grow up big and strong! And eat your Wheaties!

My music is now available on iTunes!!!! visit my webpage! New songs will be added as written and recorded! www.staceykblack.com

No problem. As others have pointed out, the atmosphere in some of the forums periodically becomes pretty intense around here, and I just thought some levity might be in order.

Clearly not everyone agrees! Which is fine, of course.

The best way to enjoy MJ's for me is to spend time listening and commenting on people's music, so mostly I've been avoiding the forums for the past month or so.

Is there such thing as an affordable toaster that works? We've been having terrible luck with them over the past few years!

But you have to grind your own flour and make your own bread. Otherwise it's like using GarageBand with loops!

I'm not sure if these are affordable, or even if they work, but they clearly can fly and tell time, sort of. Also, there are seven toasters pictured, and seven is an important number in the BIble. I suspect your luck would change with one of these.

Interestingly enough, neither Eric Clapton nor James Blunt (incredibly!) appear on this record. And yet, they both play guitar!!!. Kind of makes you wonder, don't it?
