Re:Geting tired of this - be honest please!
Sunday, January 22 2006 @ 06:35 PM CST

I think it's time someone mentioned Hitler! That's all this thread is missing. We've got disgruntled people spouting their opinions as if they are edicts from on High. We've got name-calling that is fast degenerating (as we all know, there are two things one can call a man which are supposed to be insults -- gay or a woman. Because neither are actually insults, but they are always taken as such, those two terms can usually ramp up the testosterone like no others. Oddly enough, when men refer to a woman as being akin to a male, i.e. "you've got balls" or "You're one of the boys", these are NOT supposed to be taken as insults. Gotta love that double standard, huh?). And of course, all the Macjams favorite topics as stated earlier.

Therefore, I feel it is my duty to bring in the only thing missing: those who are bigoted against loops are worse than Hitler.

There, my work is done.

I'm not sure what a 'bundle of sticks' has to do with spain, portugal or music for that matter....

Eek!

Sorry, but didn't understand what you want to mean with "bundle of sticks".

fag·ot also fag·got P Pronunciation Key (fgt)
n.
A bundle of twigs, sticks, or branches bound together.
A bundle of pieces of iron or steel to be welded or hammered into bars.

tr.v. fag·ot·ed, also fag·got·ed fag·ot·ing, fag·got·ing fag·ots, fag·gots
To bind into a fagot; bundle.
To decorate with fagoting.

Should probably know what a word means before you go tossing it around...

You need to chill with your internet toughness.

Are you kidding? The fag called me a spanish...

Don't be so sure. I read the same thing and it sounded to me like he was comparing the cultural roots of country music to those of flamenco...a subject which you raised. Flamenco being, of course, a genre with historical roots in Spain. Moreover, it is the birthplace of Paco de Lucía, the spanish flamenco guitarist that you mentioned.

So, I think maybe Mhz is right about the internet toughness.

No, i think that he said it because i pointed a bad thing about his country (having GW Bush) and he wanted to point something negative about mine.
About the toughness, all i can say is that i can't stand guys who think Portugal is a part of Spain. Since 1143 we are an independent country. It makes me furious!

I can understand why you would be peevish about people not being able to tell the difference between Portugal and Spain. However, there is obviously two major communications barriers here: one: that english is not your native tongue, and two: it's barely rcandrew's native tongue either.

As a neutral observer, I'm pretty sure you have the wrong interpretation here.

I think you're assuming way too much in THINKING that RC was stooping down to your level.

Maybe it's just time to let this thread die.

What the hell are you talking about? You having a bad week, or what? Remember- you are the one who started this whole provocative thread. Don't blame me because you take everything personally.
