This is getting EXCITING! I'm not kidding; I've really missed this building of expectation and curiousity when a Loop It Or Lose It Challenge is building steam. Already I can barely imagine what this incredible, diverse team of Super Loopers is going to come up with... YEAH! There's some familiar faces here, a few old veterans as well as some wonderful new talent coming on deck. I tell ya, this is going to be one incredible ride!

I'm currently at the "total loss" stage... So I'm going to go work on an ambient collab for a few days to clear my head. Then maybe another vocal collab.

Dr. Lioli can just sit on his hands as far as I'm concerned! Big Grin

The question of "1 artist, 1 entry" goes all the way back to Round 1. The idea then was, if you could submit more than one entry, people would - regardless of the effort put into them. It's kind of a forced editing process; if you're lucky or inspired enough to come up with more than one entry, it forces you to choose the better of the two... or three, or four... And if you only have one, it keeps your forcus on impoving that one, instead of posting several variations. Keep in mind that some of these challenges have had over twenty participants... and twenty entries (all revolving round the same loop, remember) is a lot to take in, listen and comment on over the course of a weekend. If each participant did two or three entries (and posted them all to LIOLI), well... going through forty to sixty variations of '80s Rock Guitar 01' would start to get kind of grim after a while.

And besides, nothing's stopping anyone from posting ALL of their ideas to their Artist page, remember - you're simply restricted to choosing only one of 'em for the LIOLI Challenge.

Hoping this makes sense.

Oh..I see what you're saying. Right, then. For the challenge, just post one.

I meant to say post both anyway--one on the artist page...one for the challenge...whatever!

I just wanna hear both Wink

(I might have more than one, myself)

I once came up with two songs out of a LIOLI Challenge - they were like night and day. Deciding which one was going to be 'official' wasn't easy either... hearing two different ideas from one person - and the stories behind each - could be quite the ride.

It nearly burned out my brain coming up with ONE idea with this loop... I'm amazed that some people have been able to pull off more. Well, except for Kenta - give that guy a tin can and some lint, and he'd create seven songs over a weekend. All of them great, too! Whew... I'm just not in his league, boy.

Looking forward to hearing your stuff!
