I hate common lettuce!
I mean... c'mon. Its mostly water and provides next to no nutritional value. It has practically no taste. It wilts easily and therefore costs a fortune to ship and keep fresh. Restaurants act like its a bonus ingrediant. Tomatoes and pickles? Sure. Lettuce? Puh-lease! Now, I should add that there are some specialty leafy vegetables related to lettuce that actually have some character. I'm not trying to denegrate the entire vegetable family, just the lazy do-nothing commonly refered to as "iceburg." Give me a spinach salad any day! In closing, FU@K YOU LETTUCE! |

Although I agree with you, mostly, there is an appeal to it. It's often cool, sweet and refreshing. If anything, I blame the "healthy" lettuce for not tasting as refreshing as the FRICKIN' lettuce! |

Fresh lettuce (iceberg, Romaine, Boston, etc) is excellent. But the wilting will, indeed, pose a problem (especially when you're playing your guitar). Can't blame you for letting that get to you.
I have to admit to being a big fan of seaweed salads and those containing pickles. Carrot salads and cole slaws are awesome, too. I am NOT, however, a fan of vegetable gelatin salads! I HATE GELATINE SALADS!!!! I live between the notes |

I sure do love Kraft Macaroni And Cheese. Knowing that it's laced with loads of artificial flavoring, food coloring and preservatives, somehow this adds to the dining experience. I like it with way too much black-pepper on it too, but I prefer that the pepper is freshly ground.
I understand that it's considered to be tacky by some folks, but I was extremely shocked to see it as one of the dishes at a white trash party that I went to. I have to admit though, it sure complimented the canned beans and wieners. A nice combo, to say the least. There was music and dancing at the party and then, we went bowling. I like bowling! Macca Just do it like it ain't been done before! |

Hmm... I wonder why it is, Dion, that you only get invited to the best parties. LOL

I sure am glad to see your name back in the forums, Joe - you always seem to know how to moderate toward minimal damage, my tendencies to flirt with, 'bad taste'... I was almost, literally dragged to this party, but it actually turned out to be a lot of fun. And although I didn't managed to muster up the courage to karaoke, I did drink enough to have all other things in life, not matter for an evening. Just do it like it ain't been done before! |
