MacJams Loop It Or Lose It Challenge

The MacJams Loop It or Lose It Challenge is a unique participatory experience for independent musicians. Participants must use two or more loops from a special set of loops that is provided by MacJams and its sponsors. A new challenge (and a new set of loops) will be made available each month. Complete rules for participation are found below.

Challenge 1: June 1 to June 30, 2007.

How to Participate

1.	Download the Challenge Loops, provided by sponsors BeatHive. (Download Challenge #1 Loops). The "required loop" (see rules below) is "Desert Flute."
2.	Use two or more of the loops in an original musical composition. Please follow all of the rules below or your entry will be rejected.
3.	Upload your song to MacJams and be sure to select "MacJams LIOLI" when doing so, in order to indicate that your song meets the LIOLI requirements.
4.	At the end of each challenge, all entries will be posted here, and three winners will be selected at random from all participants. Winners will receive one DVD collection of loops from BeatHive.

Each month, we will be hosting a new Loop It or Lose It Challenge, including new loops and a new set of prizes to be awarded randomly to all participants.

Complete Challenge Rules

1. All qualifying songs must use one required loop from the collection of loops provided (the required loop will be specified for each challenge). In addition, at least one other loop from the collection must be used. The other loops in the collection may be optionally used or not used at all.

2. Any available sequencing or recording software and equipment can be utilized for the challenge and artists are free to add vocals, live instrument recordings, or software instruments to construct their song. Other third party loops may be used in compositions, however you must identify any such loops in your song description when it is uploaded.

3. All qualifying songs must be submitted to MacJams.com by the last day of the respective challenge month, by 12 pm Eastern Time in the United States. All members who submit an entry will be entered into the monthly drawing for a chance to win prizes graciously provided by our sponsors. Everyone who submits an entry has an equal chance to win. Multiple submissions do not increase the odds of winning.

4. All other terms and conditions set forth by Simig Media, Inc., MacJams.com, and any Loop It or Lose It sponsor must be met and abided by.
