I bought the MDR8 some months ago, and I must say I´m really happy with it. One of the functions I love is the "hard disk mode¨ which allows you to select the tracks that you want to send to the recording bus. For example, you can be playing live drums on track 1, bass on track 2, and guitar on track 3. On the L/R mix you have the three tracks, but on the recording bus (an additional 2tr output) you have only the channels with the ¨REC¨ button turned on.
Want more? 24bit internal DSP digital effects. Chorus and Reverbs sound quite good!! More? 2 aux outputs, phantom power, a mono out, 3 band eq, etc.
Only one advice: take care of it. The dust can be a very irritating ghost. Mine already has problems with the C/Room volume knob. Aside from that, it´s a great piece of hardware and when you notice the price, it´s more than great. It´s excellent. |
