Fast Food

Description
On Virtual Garage last night, Blaine was complaining that modern radio is like fast food. I'm just agreeing with him. It's a down n' dirty, quick little song made solely to have some fun.

Lyrics
Corporate suits tell us what we're supposed to hear
Radios become brain-washing gear
Advertisers telling us what is hot
Am I the only one who knows that radio is not?

It's Fast food for your ears
Who the hell is Brittney Spears?
Fast food for your soul
No Aguillara, 50 Cent, Biance, or J'Lo

Give me songs that break the rules of pop
Give me songs that sweat, make my tears drop
Don't play another boy band. Ooooh they're so dreamy!
Give me someone real, raw and nothing too creamy

Fast food for your ears
Who the hell is Brittney Spears?
Fast food that's never wild
No Akon, Clarkson, Ludicrous or Destiny's Child

Give me dogs running away and a spouse who steals a truck
Give me men doin' her wrong and leavin' her outta luck
Don't play another oops I heard it again
Help me take back radio to where it used ta been.

Fast food for your ears
Who the hell is Brittney Spears?
Fast food for your brain
No Stefani, Weezer, Carey, get me off this train

Actually, I never really thought about it much. I tend to listen to an oldies
station. But I liked the comparison.

Wow
Only since Virtual Garage on Friday. Please do post your tribute. I'm sure it'll
get raves! 10's! This is, after all, the perfect crowd for boy bands.

A voice for radio
Big money to be made in voice-over work, Joanna. You've
got the pipes. Loved your tune, too.

A voice for radio
Well, you caught me. I was a professional voice actress for several years. It's
great money if you have a good agent and get a lot of auditions.

The real blues
Utterly love the raw scratchy blues and the big infection-
laden vocals on this one.

And a fab lyric too!

The real blues
Thank you, eltopo! I decided to keep this one rough and unpolished, to fit the
theme. I'm so glad you enjoyed that choice.

Cool...
Your voice is really great - it would suit so many different
genres. And the song writing is very clever and funny. Well
impressed!
