Very Clever &mdash 05/17/05 - 02:04:18 PM
A musical description of dementia, in a coherent and
understandable form is hard to achieve without something
sounding like rubbish. In my opinion you have managed
to capture the lucidity within the confusion.
Bit of a weird track, but actualy I quite like it..

Thanks Slim! It is strange, but kinda grows on you.

Is that right? [ Reply to This ]
yes! &mdash 05/17/05 - 02:11:17 PM
I don't know what being demented is like, but I'm sure it's
probably fairly close to this.
Fantastic stuff. [ Reply to This ]

and interesting. kinda scary, but i guess dementia must
be. very unique and i recon skillfully done track. thanks
for sharing. [ Reply to This ]
Glad you warned &mdash 05/17/05 - 07:56:36 PM
this is a truly unique work. It was very interesting how the
demented sounds morphed into a fairly coherent song at
the end. Unusual but good! [ Reply to This ]
While shaving in front of the mirror... &mdash 05/18/05 - 06:38:36 AM
While shaving, my shower-installed water-proof television came to life as a giant bee-cat and began strangling me. I has always imagined myself gargling to death, so this wouldn't do. Bob Dylan impersonating the Pin Ball Wizard saved me. Just another day at the office. At least life is never boring. (Or, wait, maybe that's why all this happens to me!) [ Reply to This ]
arual painter &mdash 05/18/05 - 01:16:32 PM
There he goes again.... painting my head with dark scary
colors... but I don't mind, really... I like it... Why can't
I?... I didn't say anything... What do you mean?... I'm not
listing to you again.... You always say that... Listen all of
you, you can't talk at once - have some respect, Breezer is
testifying...
Oh, I'm back. Thank you for the little journey...
You can paint my cortex any day. [ Reply to This ]
surrealism in sound &mdash 05/18/05 - 04:04:56 PM
my father considers himself surrealist and would like this
... i myself have painful memories of my aunt (his sister)
with dementia ... this hits a little too close to the bone ...
this is imaginative and captures hopelessness and
confusion of mind ... is good that you explore sounds in
new ways ... [ Reply to This ]

I like the fractured feel, and the layers occupying different spaces. This is a great soundscape song. It reminds me of Negativland. Cool! --D [ Reply to This ]

You talkin to me? &mdash 05/19/05 - 01:17:23 PM
This is the song I hear in my head! I live in a mental ward called Blasphemous Cacophony! Loved it Barney! [ Reply to This ]
where's my fly swatter? &mdash 05/19/05 - 04:26:39 PM
this almost makes dementia look like fun. the way it broke
out into a song was trippy, & that final guitar piece was
actually very good. truly original stuff

It's like &mdash 05/20/05 - 02:54:02 PM
coming in after the explosion, and the debris settling into
a state of coarse rest. [ Reply to This ]
I can make my skin do that &mdash 05/20/05 - 02:59:38 PM
Luckily it bounces back.
Excellent production of an interesting idea.

How unravelled &mdash 05/21/05 - 05:20:13 AM
did you feel while making this? Awesome. Some songs
can please, make one happy, sad, nostalgic, angry, full of
love, etc. Then there are the songs grab the listener and
pull them into unexpected places. You had me (my mind)
in the palm of your hand on this one! Very different. I
learned something. [ Reply to This ]
How unravelled &mdash 05/22/05 - 08:12:28 PM
No, I wasn't unravelled when I created this. It just kind of came to me as I went a long. Thanks for listening!

Thank you, but where's my penguin? &mdash 06/04/05 - 04:37:52 PM
Very clever stuff. I have to agree with much of what
has been said so far (except SpasmodicMan and I,
Spike; man, what drugs are they on?). It really does
sound like sanity and a song is trying to get out of all
that craziness. Like I said, very clever… [ Reply to This ]
Wow &mdash 06/17/05 - 01:42:49 PM
This is a really ambitious, experimental piece. It really
sucks you in to a dark place yet there are some
comforting melodies in there somewhere. I can't believe
you get such a kaleidoscopic full sound from GB!
