Description
The song is called Second Quest and yes, for all you old school nintendo dorks, it DOES refer to the original NES game, the Legend of Zelda. For those of you who didn't play, let me explain. Zelda was a game in which you played as LInk, toiling through Hyrule to find the eight pieces of the legendary triforce, which has the power to change the world according to whomever holds it. As Link, you fight through eight dungeons (in each, you found a special item that opened the door to the next), on a quest to save the princess from the evil Ganon--now remember, these were old school graphics (all the trees and rocks looked the same). At the end of the game, after you save Zelda, the game restarts, and you find yourself on the 2nd quest--essentially the same game, but harder. If there are any questions about the lyrics, feel free to ask. Also, I'm still trying to decide on appropriate instruments (I was thinking flute maybe, but your imput is much appreciate.) Enjoy.

Lyrics
2nd Quest (these are the original lyrics, I cut some of them, let me know if there are any left out that you like)
Walking round Hyrule on a pink summer afternoon,
Oracle says to me she is worried
This world is fading too soon.
The world we made is fading too soon.
Cryptic as always, I don't stop till I see that
all of the bushes and rock formations are starting
To all look the same.
Have you ever had the feeling this is just one giant game?
Then all the old villains who I defeated years ago
Like Jea Lousy, the prince of darkness Ganon, his horned mask aglow.
Is this all that it seems?
The oracle said to gather my dreams.
I hear you wailing deep within his dark lair,
But at the end of each temple I can't ever find any signs of you there.
the sun marks my pains.
Even in good days there should have been rain
I've seen this all before,
These signs I just can't ignore,
I'm afraid I can't play the hero anymore.
Injured in bomb blast, I can't last, and this beeping won't stop.
Hearts are on empty, I know pretty soon I'm going to drop,
But she refills my hearts
I'm wandering in darkness, blue boomerang's my next find
So much to do but it seems I'm running out of time.
Is this as bad as it seems?
I'm searching for something that gets thrown back at me,
Why wander in the endless maze?
Or gather the tools of my cage?
You might be a princess
But I won't play the hero anymore.
See how it all looks the same,
Same scenario, it's the same game,
This is just the second quest
I've seen this all before,
I struggle on and the music accompanies me,
Heavy pounding drums and those crunchers, but still
I can't find the key.
It's so dark I can't see.
What's happening to me?
On level six, the candle reveals the ghouls,
Ghosts and evils surround me, it's clear now that I've been a fool,
The limits of sight.
But they won't take me, not without a fight.
Cause these signs I can't ignore,
There aren't any keys for this door,
But I won't play this game anymore.
The world around changes, I see it's always sunny and bright
The darkness in the temples are just the absence of light
Oracle says that I'm leaving too soon.
She's just your tool, like the sun and the moon
Oh they'll be no end in sight,
You won't stand in autumnal light,
Wind racing through your blond hair
at the orchestra's key
Then the owl'l cry it's all a dream.
Wake up fool it's all a dream,
It's just the second quest,
That I won't play anymore.
Cause this is the second quest and pretty soon I'm
Walking through Hyrule on a pink summer afternoon,
Walking through Hyrule of a pink summer afternoon
Repeat: fade
Walking round Hyrule on a pink summer afternoon,
Oracle says to me she is worried
This world is fading too soon.
