Lyrics

introspection leads to weed
-or was it the other way 'round?
"it's not about where we'll be,
it's where we are right now..."

-that's what you said, and i believed...
because it had been a perfect day:
full of nothing to want or need or say

about how we'd always be poor
and pretend we'd never want more
and just try to grow where no one notices...

that's what we believed,
but not what we said...
we laughed 'til we were out of breath
'til the room grew dim,
-until the record ends...

Says a lot
for such a limited amount of words. You've got great
songs and this is another one. The guitar is nice. Really
like that.

Weed...hmmm
So that's how you come up with all these great lyrics. If
only I had thought of that... I would have put down the
Nutter Butters and picked up a pencil.

chasing that smokey dream
well, well, mr. jonx, from an individual who has lived your
lyrics, you hit on the duality of the topic with your usual
precision. 1000s of wonderful, superb transcendental
moments at the expense of everything else.
The song and singing and guitar are great.
Of course playing guitar or having sex while high can't be
beat.

GOOOOOD SOOOONG IM HIGH
God were those real drums or were you banging on a soda can with a nutter butter and a pencil? They sounded great! What program is that if that was a loop? The desert soothing vibrato made my throat dry so I ate a pickle and took another hit! I would have used that line but that's just me! I loved the song! It reminds me of a band playing in a gym out in the desert in the MID WEST! How many joints were smoked to complete the song?

some nice parts
i like your brooding guitar ... repetitive like stoned ...
lyrics are cool ... with depth ... or at least it SEEMS so at
the high moment ... song has potential, needs to be
develop more ... but motivation is low ... puff ... puff ...

we'd weed for weed
you've got a great voice and a wonderful lyric and vocal
style. like most of my joints, wish this one lasted a little
longer.

Sometimes when you read song lyrics they sound so
stupid. music can add so much false depth to empty
words but that is so not the case here. Your lyrics
touching and perfect on their own and the music to adds
to it. you frame things perfectly, explaining so much, and
presenting it in such a relatable way. true artistry. thanks.

man i love it
i love that stuff.
the chorus kicked in with some power.
the drums added to the excitement.
i'm always looking for instruments or sounds that add grit
and wrongness, and i think of that here too. it's very
smooth. almost. . . . too smooth?
