i played in a very heavy blues band for many years and
this just brought me right back. what's so amazing about
this song is how natural it all sounds. i'd swear i was
sitting in the back area of a contagious lounge swallowing
wafts of R.J. Reynold's money with my eyes closed and the
ice melted to the size of Tic Tacs...

You certainly got your licks in here. Every blues riff ever
heard and then some. Excellent anguish here. For me, a
little too much reverb, which gives this wonderful piece an
unnecessary self-indulgent feel. The licks are so good I
don't want them muddied up in the thick reverb. I agree
with the masses, the foundation is not always solid here,
the bass and drums. But you do have chops ziti. [ Reply to This ]

Yeah, I know...but I love the space that echo gives things...and I've noticed
that reverb and echo seem accentuated when I listen to MP3s as opposed to
the native GB file. Getting my recordings to sound consistent is a HUGE
learning process...I'm just going on instinct...my actual studio experience is
minimal, and in the engineering end it's nil, so I make a lot of production

guitar is great!! love it! bass drum needs to be more
distinct. the bass is just a touch loud and I think a guitar
player played the bass tracks?? harmonicas sound nice

because the lead riffs are as good as it gets. The reverb/
echo didn't bother me a bit but you are right about the
accentuation factor when converted from a native GB file.

oh my...the bass player in my band lives so far away...someone has to do it.
Maybe I'll take the time to re-do, but it's played in my wacky sense of time
and it would probably come out the same!! I envy multi-instrumentalists
much more now than i ever have. If I had known back in the day I would
someday have a multitrack recording studio at my finger tips, I would have
learned to play everything! Thanks for the kind words about the guitar tho

as a guitar player myself, I applaude your playing.
phrasing is great, tons of feel, great licks and TONE for
days! speaking of tone, how are you getting that great
sound? sounds like a PRS guitar but what are you running
it through?
anyway, your style is reminds me alot of Roy Buchanan,
low key player with lots of feel and great tone, just like
Ziti.
don't know why everyone's harpin' about the bass part, i
thought it was fine, plus, the extreme coolness of the
guitar overshadows everythingelse to me. nice work ziti!
