Backwards &mdash 05/21/05 - 11:23:08 AM
I like it! This is my second listen, last night it didn't take.
(Oviously it was my mood) Totally diggin it - especially
the drums, but I like the way everything else is gradually
introduced and at a right time. I like the openess of it.
Sounds like a score for a scene where a confused, maybe
unknowingly, a druged person is trying to figure out the
mystery of a particular situation; like, how do the dark city
streets drip from the sky... I was looking for more of an
ending, but maybe the mystery has yet to be
solved... Cydniko [ Reply to This ]
interesting sounds there breezer &mdash 05/21/05 - 12:21:55 PM

some good effects &mdash 05/21/05 - 05:47:05 PM
i like some of combinations of sounds ... however this
piece does not have much direction for me ... innovative
ideas without focus, except for recurring backwards
sounds at beginning and end ... [ Reply to This ]
some good effects &mdash 05/21/05 - 09:43:36 PM
Keep you eyes closed and your mind open and there is no need to focus! Thanks for listening.

I see visions... &mdash 05/22/05 - 12:07:28 AM
This felt like a soundtrack to scenes from a collage-
style movie. The tribal drums were a nice way to tie
the various parts together. I love the mysterious way
the sections creep in and out. You seem to approach
each tune you create from a different angle and that
is admirable... I am all for that. [ Reply to This ]

I forgot to say that I like a lot of the artwork you put up.... but one
criticism that I have for you is to put a little more into your descriptions.
I would like to know if you use loops, samples, penciled-in notes, or real
instruments. It wouldn't affect my opinion of the tune, just curious from
a technical standpoint. [ Reply to This ]

Thanks for listening and commenting on my songs! Thanks for enjoying the artwork too. I usaully create most of the art. However, the art used for Backwards was done by my 3 year old son, Sam!
All of my songs are a combination of GarageBand loops, sounds that I create with the pen tool, and the manipulation of other sounds I that I may incorporate. I don't play the guitar or any other instrument and have no educational background in music. I just go by ear.

breezer - I think that it's fine to keep the fans wondering how you do it. your
mystique will only generate more curiosity and you're encounter more and
more of screaming fans every time you go onstage. [ Reply to This ]

Excellent textures... &mdash 05/22/05 - 03:25:05 PM
... reminds me of a lot of 80s experimental stuff like
Cabaret Voltaire. Full of ideas. [ Reply to This ]
Thanks all for listening! &mdash 05/22/05 - 08:09:27 PM
amazing production &mdash 05/23/05 - 08:57:12 PM
like the rich textures -- biting, but not ice-picky. the
drums fading in were a nice touch... wish they would build
a little more -- maybe more reverb to complement the
background surfy tones. the distortion is a little artificial/
digital sounding... like more midrange, but nice. really
like your use of panning. [ Reply to This ]
Relax, float and watch out &mdash 05/23/05 - 08:57:35 PM
Nice change of pace throughout. Mellow parts would
metamorphise into creepy trips into the inner parts of
cyberspace. Definitely a song for being very relaxed in a
dark room with headphones on. [ Reply to This ]
These sounds are invigorating &mdash 05/23/05 - 08:59:21 PM
Brings all kinds of ideas to my mind. This is quite a
brilliant idea..the way you've put this together. I think you
could run with this with a full blown production...adding
vox and harmonies. I dig it! [ Reply to This ]

I like this. Great textures and details. What really holds it
together for me is the drumming; something intoxicating
about it. [ Reply to This ]
Primitive &mdash 05/24/05 - 08:05:17 AM
Somewhat reminiscent of Afro Celt Sound System. Maybe
not. A worthy experiment. Add an amplified bagpipe. [ Reply to This ]

Ripe! &mdash 05/25/05 - 06:58:00 PM
If this were a fruit, it would be ripe for the picking. The interconnecting pieces of collective harmonies blended my senses, making me sqirm in a delightful way. The drums left me breathless.......... I want more.................PB [ Reply to This ]
Very Good &mdash 05/26/05 - 08:35:14 PM
This track is sooo relaxing! In a way (and I don't know
why I think this, but...) I don't think this track should
work. But it does!! Excellent!! (Recommended to me by
Black Eye Joe). [ Reply to This ]
Good stuff! &mdash 06/08/05 - 10:46:13 AM
it really hit a spot for me, due to the fact that I love
experimental stuff, I loved that it was slow and that it was
very structured without going over board.
Good work!
Keep it up! [ Reply to This ]

dats more like it.. &mdash 07/14/05 - 10:50:08 PM
this one is out there & original. those drums almost put you
in a trance & let your ears relax so the other noises can slip
inside with minimal friction. i love the fact that this is full of
changeups instead of just running from point A to B
'satisfying' ..and then some [ Reply to This ]
