I like the main melody I agree-I really like the piano alone. Believe it or not, the piano track was inspired by the electric piano in "Old School", which is the same as those old 70's electric piano tracks. And also, when i was putting the drums on it, i thought the same thing, but I'ts more "dancy" then melancholic in the end, or at least that was the objective, so i kept them that way. Really nice This could be fleshed out into a really nice full production piece. My gut tells me it needs a more solid foundation and some build. An interesting bass line? Maybe a full stop and a key change somewhere. But always remember that it is YOUR music ... make it YOUR way. Check out my latest song called It Was a Dark and Stormy Night

And the production is very crisp.
The percussion often doesn't seem to me to match the
more melancholic piano melody. I'd recommend trying
something other than the slap noise.
(BTW, I like the sections where it's just the piano alone the
best - it reminds me of some 1970's soundtracks.)
