Description:
Maybe not quite blues, but not all latin or jazz either...
Had a go on playing all rhythm instruments myself. Maracas, claves and the drums. A challenge to record the drums before any music is present.

Lyrics:
Don't know where to turn

I'm going right
Or should I make a left
So many plans inside my head
I don't know where to turn

I chose guitar
I should stick to do my homework
So many choices I have to take
I don't know where to turn

I can tell you where I go
But I'm not sure of where I'm headed
I can tell you where I go
But I don't know my destination

So I've got new shoes
'cause I'll never stop walking
Until I find just who I am
Until I know my destination

Many different styles! &mdash 05/25/05 - 02:11:35 PM
It's hard to know where to place this, jazz, latin, blues,
santana and early dire straits all in one package!

this is a great track thoddi,
fantastic music very santanaish, nicely arranged.
Love your vox , although I think they are a little too high
in the mix.
Cool one

Thanks Slimmy! Yeah, I guess the vocal is a bit high in the mix:-)

The Latin Blues &mdash 05/27/05 - 10:33:34 AM
Overall very good number. You did such a good job on the
percussion I think it should be up higher in the mix and
your voice lower. Nice leadin very well done. I think the
only thing wrong with this is your voice needs to be
remixed and softened. It just comes across harsh in
places. Of course, one guy told me I should never sing
again. So there you go, a critique from just another non-
singer.

The Latin Blues &mdash 05/27/05 - 12:21:19 PM
Well I allways wanted to play the drums in bands but chose guitar... Now I have my own drumkit and a lot of odd rhythm instruments in my music room, and no one to tell me to keep away from them drums:0:-)

Thanks for your comments:-)

Great blues! &mdash 05/27/05 - 04:11:56 PM
This tune is great
Man, I have to say, as a whole, your work kicks ass on about anyone here at MacJams. I love ALL your work. It's great!!
I even sing the word 'photo' just like you did in your song 'some come. some go' on my last song (sweet sweet)
In your bio, it says you're from Norway. You have real roots R&B african-american accent. How the hell do you do that?
I don't understand why a tasty player like you is getting these scores. All those elitist 'jive-turkeys' playing their 'prog-rock' bullshit and your song isn't even on the picks list. BELIEVE ME your work is better than all of them. You're on the TOP of my list. 10s all the way, baby. I've got all your tunes, man. On my song 'criminals of love' I play some of your cool guitar licks, man.
You're a REAL tasty player and there ain't many here. You really shine. I ALWAYS look for your songs.

Dear prog-rock friends &mdash 05/28/05 - 07:52:02 AM
and anyone and everyone else I may have offended with my over-enthusiastic
comments to Mr. Thoddi.
I realize this morning, I could have reached the same level of sentiment about
Mr. Thoddi's great work without trashing everyone here. I was caught up in
the moment, to be able to comment on his new song and very surprised by
it's score.
I have never heard a song here I didn't like, in all genres. I was tired and all
wound up last night. You all are great! And in my humble opinion (humble
this morning) Mr. Thoddi plays heavenly music and he is my hero.
I deserve a good bombing/ carpet bombing/ napalming/ nuking

Heia Norge :) &mdash 05/28/05 - 08:21:18 PM
this sounds very nice. It is a bit agressive and still very relaxing. All instuments sound great, and since im not able to play any instruments i cant really say anything aboujt the :). Det vikitgste er at dette lyder som musikk i mine rer (min drlige humor.....).som du selv sier er sjangeren litt ubestemmelig, og det er en god ting! Det lyder rett og slett originalt!

Good rock song &mdash 05/30/05 - 02:12:31 PM
I like the rhythm section. That percussion definitely helps.

The guitar solo could be longer: that bass comes in too
quickly for me. You're a pretty good guitarist.
