Description:
A work in Progress - A mellow tune about questioning our existence and fact that we are not alone in feeling this way!
Lyrics:
This is the story of woman who said
That her day was so long,
Thought she'd never find her bed,
She swore the sun was so tired
She watched it slip beneath a blanket of stars.
She went ahead and poured up both,
A long tall glass of fine red wine,
And proceeded to tell me that she's loosing her mind
(Chorus)
She's lookin for things she knows that whe'll never find.
Wasting her days, Wastin her nights.
Lord knows wastin' too much time
I'm always jumping through their firey hoops,
She said, I'm walking their tight rope with my head in a noose,
All this concentration is reallly bringing me down.
It's funny the reward is never in sight, but the Illusion is blinding and she can't close her eyes,
Acting like a soldier at war, she's heading for the front line....
(Chorus)
She said I'm tired of all this running in place,
I just can't seem to keep up with the pace,
I'ts like a slap in the face when you don't even know what's wrong.
She took a sip of her wine and then she looked at me,
Does this happen to you, It's always happening to me,
Or am I result of someone's twiste joke?
Someones twisted joke?
I said go ahead a pour another glass of wine, I've got nowhere to go and plenty of time,
Tell me yours and I'll tell you mine,
Cause I know the story of woman who said
that her day was so long,
thought she'd never find her bed,
She swore the sun was so tired
she watched it slip beneath a blanket of stars.

good sounds &mdash 05/29/05 - 01:56:33 PM
All the instruments (including real) sound gorgeous
together. A very calm, sad kind of feeling permeates this
song. Only thing that bothers me is your voice sounds
murky - too much bass/too little treble. [ Reply to This ]

Thank You ! I so appreciate the comments on the music sound. It's intent is to be sad and sort of desperate. I agree on the vocal. I plan on working on this more.

Long time no see..
Good to hear your voice again.
Very nice track here. couple pitch things going on ( Lord
Knows at the beginning.) but great lyrics.
Id bring up the strings and that backing synth to balance the
production.
apart from that, nice melody and arrangement.

Hi Slimmie!
Yea! I have been out of the "loop" for lately! Hee! Hee!
Thanks for listening and your generous comments!
Yes, that spot is definitely pitchy. - Good Ear!
I do plan on redoing the vocals because I am not completely happy with them.
It's a work in progress for sure.

love your lyrics... &mdash 06/13/05 - 11:53:21 PM
I can relate to the part about the twisted joke. Sometimes
you gotta wonder... I like this song, but feel it could be
much stronger and cohesive if it had a well defined chorus
section. At the moment, my ears have trouble hearing any
difference between verse and chorus. But you've got
something really good here. Thanks for posting! Cheers. [ Reply to This ]

cover. I love the protagonist. I loved your voice. I guess I can
empathise. 9-7-8-9 Must be in touch with my femine

that was beautiful &mdash 08/30/05 - 08:16:14 AM
I just bought some monitor speakers and this was the
first song I listened to through them. The songwriting is
so beautiful, and your voice matches it.
Keep making music, and I'll keep listening. [ Reply to This ]
