Retro - 80's Hair-Rock (with a twist)
Not hugely different sinced the last version. (http://www.macjams.com/song/song_profile.php?lid=6778). Just a remix. The biggest difference is the horns have been brought forward in the mix. Other slight differences include drying up the sound of the drum kit and there's is some subtle re-EQing. This gives the piece a slightly brighter, summer feel with a bit more room to breathe. Hence - Sunshine Mix.
The speeding car is a little louder (cheers, Troy)
You'll probably need a decent sound system to really notice the differences.
Oh, and I've encoded this mp3 at 160kbs unlike the original which is encoded at 128kbs.
Enjoy.

Hey, was that a Van Halen riff I just noticed;-) Great playing. Havent heard the first take... This sound very pro to me. Nice arrangement, composition and performance!
Clever done when you stop the ongoing beat in there and break it up a little while. Cool when you do the count as well:-)
Nice bridge part where you take everything a bit more laidback. Is that a mandolin?
Great work.
Gives us more!

Horns, what horns? The sound spectrum is still taken up for
at least 60 percent with guitar sound. Not much wrong with
that, because you play well.
Next time give the other boys in the band their coupla
seconds in the spotlight, willya?
Pie
need to get a better stereo, man LOL

Great rock guitar playing...definitely got a kind of Van
Halen feel...is that a banjo goin' in the background? I can
imagine David Hasselhoff driving his fancy car off a cliff to
certain death whilst this plays in the background....well
one can dream!

Great Prog/Rock number! Tons of stuff going on in your tune, and your rockin' guitar leadwork gives steady continuity throughout. Nice job! High Marks!

Amazing talent, and perfect production !
This tune has it going on. This track is absolutely professional and with out a doubt one of the best songs that I have heard here on MacJams.
I especially liked the bitonality that you achieved near the approach into the first modulation. I seems that you have stacked a minor mode on top of a major one, although I could be wrong in my analysis, but either way I loved the sound of it. Charles Ives would have been proud, and yet the way that it is used, with the modulation following there after, is really subtle, and easier to pass off to the average listener, which would probably be me.
Right on with this one though. All the way around great sounding piece.
Thanks for sharing.

Very cool. Love the banjo, crunching guitars, changes.
Every thought of putting lyrics to this? Kind of country
prog. Superb production!
brilliant, love it, more, more. the banjo, pure inspiration.
downloading this one
(yeah but Van nicked it from Ritchie, Woman from Tokyo :p)

I love the Eastern feel meeting the banjo of the West... Tasty, and I'm sure
very nutritious. Interesting journey that I will undoubtedly take again and
again and again and.....

Hillbilly hair metal! Everybody's got a cell phone these days... Great performance, crisp production! Rock and friggin' roll!

I don't know who I was rooting for more, the electric or banjo player.
Very slick and pro sounding. The breaks, builds and mix give this a
real edgy feel. Your playing and sense of space is great. I'm not a
guitar player but the sound you get is PHAT. Is that Amplitude at work?
Really distinctive.

yes indeed... this is amplitube at work. great news is that I've now upgraded
to amplitube 2 and it rocks so much harder :-)

I find your lack of faith disturbing

I really enjoy the tune and the guitars especially! The drums are strong
which is good because you need that as a backbone for the song. Kind of
brings up memories of Joe Satriani's "Summer Song". It just kind of has
that same warm feeling to it. Nice work, keep it up! :D
ktb
fix. this is superb. the mix is huge. dig the off time parts, it really drills home. the guitars thru out kept me spellbound
