Description:
This is a famous hymn which originally composed by Karen Lafferty. I imported the midi file into garageband, changed some instruments and added the vocal. hope you enjoy listening to it!
- Special thanks to John for the midi file.
Lyrics:
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness
And all these things shall be added unto you
Hallelu, Hallelujah!
Man shall not live by bread alone
But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God
Hallelu, Hallelujah!
Ask and it shall be given unto you
Seek and ye shall find
Knock and the door shall be opened unto you
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Very sweet, unaffected vocals. I enjoyed listening to this
piece very much. I have a couple of suggestions: 1)
replace that MIDI file with something else. Maybe
someone here could play an accompaniment for you? 2)
vary the vocals a bit. Start with solo voice, add some
harmonies and additonal vocal layers later in the piece.
Build it like you build those loop pieces!
Again, I really anjoyed hearing your vocals. [ Reply to This ]

thanks for listening and your suggestions Mr. Atwood! I think I will make
version up of this song and will upload it. and really need to find someone
who can play the instrumental part of this song for me. do you know anyone?
and yes i will change where the harmonies come in on the next version.
# Actually my voice is pretty low, so i eddited my vocals with Garageband
vocal transformer and made it higher. maybe i should use my orliginal voice?
should i?
thanks for listening and your comment!

I could lay down a guitar track for you. Do you want it in the same
key as the MIDI, or something lower for your vocal range? (I do think you
should use your real voice for this...) Just let me know. [ Reply to This ]

Let's try that. If that doesn't work I can send you a guitar file that you can
sing to. [ Reply to This ]

beautiful. One thing though, that stuck out in my
headphones was that when you inhale during your singing
you are a little too close to the mic. Their seemed to be
some distortion there.
thanks for putting a smile on my face [ Reply to This ]

Jem, this is nice and simple and very sweet. I agree, though, that you
should have live accompaniment and use your real voice. I'm downloading
the revised version (with Tom) now.
Keep up the great work! [ Reply to This ]

Very honest and pure sound...
Ita funny from a musical standpoint there are changes that could be
made...from a heartfelt standpoint I wouldn't mess too much, but it will
be interesting to see what you come up with
