Same here This is cool. Bass is definitely different for a melody. Seems like a no brainer but outside of certain genres you really don't see it. It's done well here. Reminds me of a lot of things and nothing at the same time. The only thing missing for me was something like a shaker for percussion. Other than that, this was pretty nice. It may be all improv but for the most part it sounds planned out. You guys have a good groove. Keep hitting that record button. Check out my latest song called Sold Out

Really have to check my mail... more often. Thanks for the comments fellas! My bro will be happy to get the props on the Bass playing. He's a great musician and really talented bass player. He plays VERY melodic bass...and often just "takes" the song where ever its going. And you're right, you here so few bass players do more than thump out a rhythm...it's nice to hear someone who has a real feel for the instrument. Check out my latest song called NeonGlow02

exquisite bass work nice artwork too, very sensual, kudos to the talented artist/spouse! You two really make great music... sorry its been languishing here and I missed it! Enjoyed this one as well. It is unusual for people to play
much melody on bass-don't know why, it pisses me off when
the bass is so mixed into song that its pointless even being
there. I was thinking about taking up bass- now I'm inspired
and I'll be getting one this weekend!
