Z MAN,
You've got chops. I love the the little chicken scratch blues
rythem line, and your leads have killer smooth transitions.
Excellent Playing! ! ! Silly Blues or not this brought me up
in my seat to listen more closely in depth to your crybaby
work out and dance over the fret board.

RIP
I posted this last night in memory of that wah wah pedal. It was the best
sounding one I've ever owned, and it died a loud, squaking death on the gig
this weekend. I'm taking opinions on a replacement, trying to see if anyone
of the slingers here on macjams can talk me out of buying another cry baby!!

thanks for the kind words!!

RIP RESCUE
No Need To Fret

Hey Ziti, Well the age old Cry Baby finally Bit the dust in a scratchy squaking
disaster. Very simple cure for you without buying a new one. Inside the pedal
after all it's years of abuse and cries you finally killed the potentiometer. It
happens to every wha some shorter than others. Actually it only a 15-40
dollar investment to fix the one you have and keep that belovid tone for the
most part. all it required it to cut and solder three small wires and can be
performed by any novice. I beleive all you need is a 100k Hot Potz
Potentiometer and your back in buisiness. Here is a website that has all the
old parts however I know that your can get them cheaper elsewhere.
Otherwise Goodluck on your WHA WHA Shopping http://

RIP RESCUE
yeah why bail on the crybaby? I have done the pot replacement, and that's a pretty easy fix. DigItDirty is right on! I guess it could be the circuit board that's fried, but usually it's just the pot. I think the new pot taper might be a little different, but the sound produced should be the same. Most stores will have them on the shelf... I know Mr. Music in Allston does. Or try Cambridge Music.

good performance
Guitar and keys are fun and well done. I find the percussive
choices a bit off, but I know all too well that it can be difficult
to be the whole band, even with the help of loops! Wishing
you a hot little drummer.

good performance
Thanks...yeah the day I can successfully record live drum tracks will be a day
of rejoicing for me!!...I know some really great drummers...and they sit idly by
while I wade thru banks of loops to find what they could give me with no
more than a nod! I've never ever understood how percussion people-
especially trap drums-do what they do. Thank God they do, though! I love
the name of your duo...and I am looking forward to listening to some of your
music!!
Thanks!

Wah wah blues riff...
that needs no excuses. Move over EC and Stevie this is da guitar blues... Well done ziti. Nothing compares to an ad lib, "let her go where she will" instrumental.

Nice, nice, nice...
I have this embarrassing love for wah-wah pedals. I love
hearing them and I love playing them. This is the piece for
a guy such as I...

Nice fullness, warmth, tone in the mix. There's something
in every corner, but it never sounds too full. I can't wait to
listen to this on headphones...

My experience, ages ago, when I worked in a music store
in addition to whatever I did on my own, was that
Crybaby's pots died on a frighteningly regular basis, but
they do have that sound...You pays your money and you
gets out your soldering iron...or you bribes your friend
who knows his way around a soldering iron...

I REALLY enjoy this tune. A new favorite....Thanks...
ziti said 1621 days ago (June 2nd, 2005)
Nice, nice, nice...
wow!! me too!! I love the wah wah. My 13 year old is freaking right now over
White Room...but yeah voodoo chile, all along the watchtower, and rainy day
dream away where jimi makes it talk...around where I came up playing, if you
used a wahwah in a blues tune the blues nazis were all over you. there is a
large school of thinking that a blues is supposed to sound exactly like the old
scratchy record. Wah wahs were no nos. But I think they are very expressive.

I'm thrilled you like this so much!!

wack-a-chick-a! WOW!
This is the first tune of yours I've heard here (I've been
away for awhile) and I am AMAZED at your great git
chops! You are truly at one with your instrument.

Very expressive playing here, with a lot of interesting little
effects.

The guitar sounds a bit far away in this mix (especially
when there's a lot going on); I'd like to hear it more
prominently. Your great playing deserves to be front row
center!

Maybe the percussion level could come down just a tad? I
like the patterns though; they fit the music well.

Nice high energy tune. Reminds me of that sort of early
'70s "wack-a-chick-a" stuff from "Shaft", etc. Very upbeat
and groovin'.

I see that MacJams continues to attract very high quality
new folks here.

(I have a LOT of catching up to do! Your tunes are at the
top of my future listening list.)

WELCOME to this great site!

P.S. Fascinating art-work! Did you create it? Very cool.
