Description:
This is a second version of the song called "Seek Ye First", which I posted few days ago. On the first version, I was using midi for the instrumental part. But on this version Mr. Atwood have played the instrumental part on his guitar and added some harmonies for me. Hope you enjoy listening to this piece!

Special thanks to Tom Atwood for the great guitar tunes, harmonies and the final mixing. Thank you very much Mr. Atwood!

# on this song i'm using my real voice. on the last one, i edited my vocal very much. and this vocal is my real voice.

Lyrics:
Seek ye first the kingdom of God
And His righteousness
And all these things shall be added unto you
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Man shall not live by bread alone
But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Ask and it shall be given unto you
Seek and ye shall find
Knock and the door shall be opened unto you
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Very touching piece &mdash 06/03/05 - 07:56:42 AM
for me, for many reasons. There are many things a 15-
year-old could doing, but you have chosen to spend time
making music, with your heart. Thanks for allowing me to
be a part of this, Jemimah.

I've finally gotten around to checking out your stuff and
have been very impressed. The music and your voice have
an innocent and honest quality. Tom Atwood's
contributions definitely had a positve impact on this
rendition.
Cheers to you both

A well done hymn... &mdash 06/03/05 - 12:27:57 PM
or praise song needs to not only be musically well
done. But it needs to have a heart attitude of reverence and praise toward God that is also
communicated in the singing. This can not be
manufactured or faked in my opinion. This song is
a beautiful example of a technically well performed
praise song and one that reaches out and
expresses a genuine spirit of worship toward God.

Thanks for sharing this.

I actually saw it happening last night. Over and over, somebody kept
downloading. It took about an hour or so. ?? Maybe something got stuck on
their computer? (Or maybe they just really like this nice piece?) Oh, well.

Sorry Jem &mdash 06/04/05 - 02:02:08 PM
that this piece got bombed off the weekly picks. It became
the victim of a serial bomber during a widespread attack
that left almost no song unscathed. But, you should be
very happy and proud of all the comments from Peter G,
drakonis, Hammhock and others. I believe people were
genuinely moved by your work. Congratulations to you!

I am on vacation next week, so I will leave responding to
the rest of your fans up to you (!)

Very moving... &mdash 06/05/05 - 08:35:03 PM
One of my good friends is in an absolutely ROCKING
gospel group, and I bet he's going to love the moving
simplicity of this...

I had to go back and listen to some of your other tracks to
get why people have been so surprised (stunned?) by this
one...Now I get it...

Now, what I will say, and I hope I get this out right, is that
the pure, unaffected quality of your vocal IS a strength,
and I would definitely vote for you working with your own
voice...bringing to bear the good ear that you evidently
have for harmony and arrangement...

AND, I would also suggest that you consider finding a
good vocal coach...NOT because you don't have a nice
voice, but because you DO, and I get a feel here that you
could learn to sort of "relax into" your own voice in a
sense, learn to breathe with it, in a way that will bring
more YOU to the song...if that makes sense...Good vocal
coaches can sort of open up the world of your own voice
to you...Gotta pick the right one, though, ask around, find
out who's supportive...

I hope you get from this what I'm trying to put out, which
is intended as real support for you coming out from
behind the music and shining more and more...

This is pretty cool...

Thanks very much for listening to this song and your suggestions. And I
might find someone to coach my vocal, but right now i don't know i'm really
going to find one.

again, thanks for you suggestion.

Nice tune

Love the sweetness of it.
Like that softness, this would nice especially during the
christmas season. But really are so glad your are letting us
hear it now.

Like that guitar, very soft and tender.
Love the innocence of the singing, very emotional to hear
with that gorgeous musical backdrop.

This updated version is just what I wanted/needed to hear tonight. Thanks for letting me and everyone else hear this inspirational piece.

Great work &mdash 08/21/05 - 06:33:43 PM
Great job, White Hawks. Every summer I lead the singing
at our church's "Kids Camp," and this is a favorite of mine
and the kids, too.

You have a sincere quality in your voice. The guitar work
and vocal harmonies are also well-done.

And thanks for your kind comments on my "Hey Martin
Luther" piece.

And your "album art" is just fabulous!

camp when I was younger. Great Job.

Praise The Lord &mdash 01/18/06 - 08:52:36 PM
I just love the texture of the harmonies. This is one of the best
songs on Macjams because it's about the great Prince of Peace! Do
you minister in your church? If there's an opportunity to do so,
take it. It's a great honor to serve in that capacity. It's also eternal.

Remember, what we do for Christ will last.

May God richly bless you.
