When I was a kid the best musician I knew was this guy named Waz. I was in a band with him (we stood around and watched Waz). We were bored one time so we took three friends and went to a park. Waz began to play guitar and kids gathered around. Soon a cop showed up We pleaded that we weren’t doing anything wrong hey it was Tampa and if you are a kid you ARE wrong. He told us to go to a park on the other side of town. We called some friends and the next day a drummer showed up and a base player soon two drummers soon guitar players were trading leads keyboard players showed… and hundreds of bored kids. It grew to the point that bands that would play in Tampa would stop by. Stevie guitar Miller showed, I was long gone from Tampa and somebody said Jimmy Hendrix came by and blew up. But more than anything I remember the surge and fade of the musicians communicating with nods and eye contact looking around multiple drummers trancing out and seeing hundreds of jam session goers in the flow…YIPES. I remember guys going, “You play guitar, come on man jump in …I was to CHICKEN! Still play guitar in a corner of my little room. This is a tribute to Buzzy Foye, David Lasswell, Mike Regar, Craig Smith and of course Waz, not forgetting the hundreds of musicians that dropped by. Shows what you can do when you hit that first chord.
I tried to capture the tentative flow and funky blend and crescendo of a live jam with my funky little guitar work over dubbed with some Garage band rhythms.
Part of the soundtrack on an upcoming movie.

I like this. It sets a mood. Most music that doesn't "go"
somewhere bores me, but this just makes me want to BE.
Well done.
