More like a Vernon Wells walkoff &mdash 06/04/05 - 08:26:43 AM
Ortiz, why did it have to be Ortiz? Damon, Millar, Manny . .
. anybody but

What I particularly liked about this one was the phrasing
on the guitar riffs. It's amazing how many guys still think
they have to use all 138 notes on a guitar neck in every
break. But this one explored sections thoroughly before
moving on. I like that. There was also a neat little section
in the lower register just about the point where the slider
hits the bat that I also thought quite effective in a piece
like this.

cheers guys

your Jays are playing really good this year, sno....it's much more fun when
Toronto and Baltimore DON"T suck...makes for a great summer. baseball and
the sox are a lifelong passion of mine, so don't get me started!!

Blaines funky-dunky was a gas to play over. Basically I took four passes at it,
2 with clean guitar, and two with effects...the effected guitars did'nt work, but
the clean ones were fitting I thought...didn't really edit any thing, just kinda
let it sit there...blaine did all the hard stuff!

How can you not love david ortiz????

Thanks _nderscore...well...guess we could add some screamin guitar lead...but
then it wouldn't be Dub, or at least, I don't think it would. What do I know?

kicked back jammin' &mdash 06/04/05 - 12:32:19 PM
Nice kicked back groove, good improvisatory feel to this
track. Lots of little interesting florishes and effects.

The kalimba? xylophone? sound was the only thing to
stick out slightly in the mix at times; didn't fit in with the
rest of the sounds, to my ears anyhow.

The last note at the end cut off suddenly. Was this
intentional? Sometimes this happens inadvertantly when
GB imports to iTunes....

This is a good tune.

I'd not listen to this one again.

This is a good tune.

But wait! It took me three go rounds to figure out that the ending just plain sucks!

What? Did you guys just plain feel like just plain stopping? If so, then it was a well-executed ending! I think I will listen one more time just to hear the bad ending. Torture. I know. But well worth it.

I'd not listen to this one again.
