Description
this is the song that i wrote about the rainy
seasons we have in tokyo. i think much of
the implied meanings and the feelings are
lost when i translated them into english....
sorry. not a good translator.

Lyrics
Jakuzure Frog

I kind of like rainy sunday morning
lazy snail on hydrangea leaf
I listened to the outside while
drinking the iced tea from the bottle

a frog wakes up from his long sleep
the rain softens the ground and hes
coming out of it

by the time it stops raining
the summer i long for will finally come
the summer wind will bring the waves
i guess ill go hit the beach with my board

i dont dislike rainy sunday morning
blushed leaves on the ground makes me feel sad
i listened to the rain while drinking the hot milk tea from the mug

by the time it stops raining
the winter i long for will finally come
the clouds will bring lots of snow
i guess ill go hit the mountain with my board

by the time it stops raining
forget all the things you hate
and wait for you who will come around
with the new season

A new direction
This is a little different style but still has your trademark
sound... if that makes any sense. Chorus has a strong
hook- overall another very good song with an outstanding
guitar solo!!!!!

I always look forward to your postings, JH! Keep them
coming!

Ooooh, very nice
Has great pop feel to it. Very boucy. well rpoduced. Love
the solo break in the middle. I think your translation of
the lyrics is just fine. It gets the sentiment behind the
song across well. Really enjoyed it. Thanks.

Ancient pond...
frog jumps in
sound of water...

how does that go? Mizu noh oto? Something like that....

This song, as a SONG, is so POP...like White Album era
Beatles pop...with that wild guitar solo break...

And--in the English lyrics anyway--there's this
extraordinary combination of hopefulness, upbeat
optimism, and yet this imagery that has a tinge of
melancholy...is that properly caled wabi? sabi?

Forgive my ignorance, please.

Neat tune, though. I happened upon it by accident, and
am glad that I did....

another good one
I always enjoy your music. Your lyrics always celebrate life in
a fun way. Very well done. I love that guitar solo; very
creative. The sudden ending surprised me; I thought "What,
it's over?".

Great pop tune
Beautiful production on this one - really liked the
Japanese lyrics (didn't follow them, but they sound just
right) - the translation has a nice feel too. The Beatles
would have been proud.

Insane guitar solo!
