Description:
Just a day in the life....

Lyrics:
sunny days
rainy nights
see the stars and feel their light

take my hand
as we run
down the hill feel the sun

feel the wind
smell the earth
feel the grass beneath your feet

gentle breeze
blows your hair
spend the day and lose your cares

this is your life
take your time, seize the day
this is your time
use it as you like

laugh and smile
cry your tears
feel the pain of all your years

look around
see your world
take some time and make a change

this is your life
take your time, seize the day
this is your time
use it as you like

sunshine fades
go inside
watch the darness move on in

feel your warmth
at my side
and tomorrow starts again

these are our lives
take our time, seize the day
this is our time
we’ll use it as we like

Fine a arrangement &mdash 06/05/05 - 03:04:38 AM
A simple song with a very good arrangement, with
elements creeping up on your without you really
noticing.

Thanks for listening. I propbably spent more time mixing on this one than
any other I've done so far. Learned a lot. Appreciate your comments.

are you a neil young by chance????
the influence bleeds through in a great way on this track.
really reminds me of "after the goldrush."

great work, i love how it builds.

i have a question... &mdash 06/05/05 - 10:49:17 PM
I'm not actually Neil Young, I just play him on TV. :)

That's not an influence anyone has ever mentioned before, but I very much
appreciate the comparison. Thanks for taking the time to listen and
comment.

Simple goodness &mdash 06/06/05 - 02:59:48 AM
I like this. It has a quality that I can't quite put my finger on
but really enjoyed. I think I'd back off a little on the reverb
overall.

Thanks for the listen and the comments. I do tend to lay the reverb on quite thick. I actually backed it down a bunch from what I had origonally. But if you think I lay the reverb on thick, you ought to taste what I do with cayenne pepper. :)

is a really nice production indeed! Very enjoyable

I like the way you're right up front there with the vocals. Sounds pretty great and highly original. I enjoyed this.

forthright vocals! &mdash 06/07/05 - 11:30:56 AM
I'm finally getting a little more confidence in my vocals, so I'm not as likely to bury them in the mix anymore. Thanks for listening and commenting, Jim.

A great way to start the day... &mdash 06/06/05 - 01:52:51 PM
Aww, I got the "feel good chills". Very nice. Not what the bomber was thinking though huh... I liked this alot. It is simply, a nice message and tune that everyone should consider listening to at the begining of each day. I like your vocals and I thought that the arrangements were a perfect accompaniment. This is a nice piece. Congrats!

Cydniko

P.S. i guess that if i had the mentality of a bomber, this tune would be the first to go down. LOL. sorry -

Do bombers really think? Thought, at least useful though, is never something I've attributed to bombers. :)

Thanks for your comments, Cydniko. One good thing came out of the bombing, I found out about your tunes. Made it a good day.

Yeah &mdash 06/06/05 - 03:15:16 PM
It's getting better and better! The vocals comes through
really good on this one, and of such of course the lyrics as
well. See what you CAN do with a nice mic! :) Nice
arrangements, I like the use of piano too.

I appreciate the comments and the encouragment you have given me on my tunes, Mikki. This one had been in the the works for a while, but it seemed this past week some of my technological and creative blocks fell at the same time. Thanks for taking the time to listen and comment.

Yeah &mdash 06/07/05 - 11:32:52 AM
Quite often it falls that way - it comes in steps for me, I struggle for a while,
take side turns and discover new types of music, then, all of a sudden, things
makes sense and it all comes together...like milestones...a few every year...and a
few side roads, and a few crashes I have to admit... :)

Dude, this is good &mdash 06/29/05 - 02:13:01 AM
Great lyrics too. I'd love to do a remix of this song. I heard
a hint of Death Cab and Postal Service, but yet it's
different and original. Well done, fav'd for sure.

I agree with ScooterDMan &mdash 06/29/05 - 11:22:08 PM
You do sound a lot like Neil Young on this song, which makes for a fascinating juxtaposition with the style of the song, which reminds me of OMD or the Pet Shop Boys. Your chorus is terrific.

I left a comment for you on your 80's song, too. I thought you might miss it, since it's an older song.
