Description:
2nd try at remixing. This time with reworked vocals & percussion. Hopefully this will be the last version!

Lyrics:
Are you afraid of touching Heaven?
Don't, it's a good place to be.
I am your guardian angel
Let me guide you through the air.

It's not always Hell when you meet your fate
It's not always Heaven when you think you're safe.
Don't be scared of being in the sky -
If I leave you I'll leave you alive.

You say you're secure on the ground-
Don't you know you live on a ball of fire.
Don't you know you can fall here just the same - so why not take to the sky?

It's not always Hell when you meet your fate
It's not always Heaven when you think you're safe.
Don't be scared of being in the sky -
If I leave you I'll leave you alive.

Don't look at me like that -
You're just as crazy as I am
I am your guardian angel
here with the key to all your fears.

I will take you way up high
Look down - there's a worse way to die
than flying through the clouds with me
Look outside - it's beautiful.

very smooth flying!!!! &mdash 06/22/05 - 09:18:37 PM
Cool lyrics, nice beat, and angelic voice, great jam
together.... and my favorite subject, next to singing!

I'm sorry, I just have to say that this towns younger
generation blows my mind! How do you fly so high and

Mmmm..... &mdash 06/24/05 - 08:28:07 PM
Very nice! I believe I heard the first mix of this one. This
seems more balanced.
Excellent track. cjhoose's voice is wonderfully soft and
soothing, the lyrics are great, and instrumentation is
a nice match to the vox, and well-played.

It's a great track that deserves more listens, for sure!

My only nit is i'd like to hear a more 'complete' ending--
something that balances out that final verse sung by
cjhoose. Maybe just 2 or 3 seconds of fadeout with the
guitar echoing...

Again...Nice track. Do more collaborations together! :)

You're absolutely right on the ending. Still getting used to writing and recording for listening rather than performing... used to be good enough if we all ended at the same time! Thanks for the great feedback & as always - Thanks for listening!

Glad you liked it! This was one of the first songs I did in GarageBand, almost two years ago & I was just starting to tinker with the guitar as opposed to the bass I had played for many many years. CJ really added life to the tune & I'm hopefull we'll do some more together soon.
Thanks for listening!

Moldering whisps of beauty &mdash 06/29/05 - 02:28:59 PM
This has an interesting funkiness to it. Good reproduction
on the voice and the instruments. The vocal styling is a
little laid back for my taste but I can dig it. The
breathiness might get a little distracting if one fixates on
it (so stop fixating, Rich!). Good lyrics. Thanks for putting
this up.

I've heard many similar 1st impressions as well, but I've spent a lot of time with this song now & it has really grown to be one my favs. This one tends to really surprise folks who have heard my other stuff, which tends to be much harder.

Thanks for listening!

reminds me... &mdash 07/03/05 - 11:35:28 AM
...a bit of The Cardigans. Beautiful track...up in the clouds
kinda number. One thing: i think the vocals sound slightly
outta tune in some parts...but other than that, sweet voice
and nice harmonies. Good production.

I broke out the whip on this one! Whooo! God it feels good to have the whip in my hand once again! I boiled noodles to this song and they turned out very nice! Great song! Voice sounds good!

Yum &mdash 10/10/05 - 08:00:39 PM
Cool song, great vocals, nice lyrics. Love the way the chorus plays with
itself. Nice backing up of yourself? I assume.

It's a nice sweet song. Almost a lullaby. Cute. Stay away from being
sentimental. The vocals seem a bit clipped, like the music forces them too
far forward, and I would like to see some more complexity to the music,
maybe mix it up a bit? A harder part, then back to slow? Got me. Maybe
I'm wrong. Nice song.

Great feedback! I've thought about doing some more with this one, but with time contraints, etc... think it'll have to stay as is. Glad you liked it & thanks for listening!
