Soaring music &mdash 06/14/05 - 07:04:36 PM
Goes into the higher reaches definitely. Great use of
different instruments to paint a cosmic musical setting.

I used to have... &mdash 06/14/05 - 07:58:57 PM
...a live bootleg of Pink Floyd in which David Gilmour plays in
this sort of realm, and it was long a favorite of mine...

Meditative, spacey in a good way, transporting...

I'd like to be clever, but I just love your playing...At this point
I click on download before I click on play...

Thanks again.

soundscapes &mdash 06/15/05 - 02:09:55 PM
There are many interesting combinations of sounds in this
free-form piece which flow from one to the next in a
musical journey.

I particularly like your use of percussion; the sounds and
rhythms are varied nicely, and the panning is excellent.

Your guitar playing flows well as always. You have many
interesting musical ideas, which unfold in an easy,
improvisatory way.

Although there is a great deal of variety in musical
textures on this piece, it is within a subtly unchanging
wash of sound that sometimes borders on sameness. (But
perhaps this is what "trance" music is about? If that is the
case, please forgive this observation.)

For whatever reason, I would have enjoyed hearing a bit
more variety in the pacing of these musical textures. Just
something to give the ear a little breathing room.

Very nice piece, overall! I enjoyed listening to it.

P.S. Lovely cat! I'm curious why you used this particular
picture on this tune.

Great looking cat &mdash 06/15/05 - 08:56:51 PM
Even though this is a genre I don't know anything about or
really understand, I can still tell what a talented artist you
are. You have a true gift.

I feel the person inside. &mdash 06/16/05 - 07:34:58 AM
Five string and six string.
Sound of friction of finger and strings.
Guitar is good sound.
The percussion of backing is effective.
Music that imagines scene.
Like film music.
I feel the person inside.

You the man. &mdash 06/17/05 - 12:24:32 AM
A perfect ten on production, everything is balanced
flawlessly throughout the mix. Excellent choice keeping
the synths as far back in the mix as you did, nicely done.

The music flows organically and never gets boring, and
the instruments all sound full and alive that I really felt
that the man behind the notes expressed himself
completely.

I'm in awe, and could only hope to achieve this level of
performance and musical articulation.

P.S. What is UP with the rating on this song? It just doesn't
seem right, this piece deserved more.

Awful &mdash 10/14/05 - 07:21:34 PM
I'd say this is awful, but I'd say it with an Australian accent so it don't sound so harsh.

Seriously, I don't think this one works. But it could. I heard some of "you" in there and it sounded good to my ear.

Good morning &mdash 07/20/07 - 12:20:23 PM
I woke up this morning, came out to my studio, put on headphones and heard this piece. What a great way to start my day... Thanks...

This type of playing can only be done by a man who is one with his instrument.

Great &mdash 07/26/08 - 11:43:14 AM
Love this type of music. I am experimenting with the genre at the moment.

Love the space you have created here, all the soundscapes are really well made and the production is very clear. Really cool track, top marks and cannot give any critic remarks.
