Description:
A song my best friend wrote which I recorded with an old band member. I have no idea what it's about.

Lyrics:
I woke from a dream
Of high society
I was walking through a crowded room
Wearing clothes of heresy
I met a scary woman
Shielded by her pearls
I watched her through my half-filled glass
In this smoke filled addled world

I was smoking menthol cigarettes
And eating Swiss dark chocolates
When reality crept in beside me
Ate my voice and tried to blind me

She couldn't see - see me
She couldn't see - see me
At all

She took my think white hand
And lead me through the haze
Spinning in gracious cycles
Our voices out of phase
She told me of her name
My ears weren't meant to hear
She left me in despair and pain
She left me with the fear

I was smoking menthol cigarettes
And eating Swiss dark chocolates
When reality crept in beside me
Ate my voice and tried to blind me

She couldn't see - see me
She couldn't see - see me
Though I screamed my name into her face
She saw another in my place
She couldn't see
See me at all

Hi Mr. R,
another cool vibe going on, this song sounds great
with my morning cuppa.
Weird drum with cool vocals.

Unfortunately, it's not mine! One of the guys who used to be in my old band has just moved to Sydney and he agreed to work on this song with me.

This is really cohesive, the vocals, the instruments, everything blend really well together. Is that you on guitar? If it is, you're excellent. The dissolve at the end of the song is great, especially considering the subject matter.

I actually really love this. 9's all the way and I'm downloading it and making myself an official fan.

Thanx Lisa! My friend Mark (doing the vocals) and I have been playing this song for years, so it was pretty easy when it came to recording.
