The clanger!! I think its a gun shot off a DR 550 or 660 drum machine. I can't remember. I'm glad you like this. Honestly, I did it in about 4 takes for a total expressive input of about 45 minutes one afternoon years ago. I listened to it later and liked it enough to put onto cassette, which i put into garage band. So, not much work here, just fun sitting down with my basses. Next ones, though, I'm going to actually work on! P.S., I love your music on this site.

Thanks! Horns are a great idea. Maybe I'll try another version with horns, since i bought a keyboard to use with garage band. Or, if you would like, have at it and send me the version! I would love to hear it!

nice funkiness again &mdash 06/21/05 - 06:41:09 PM
Like the use of the guitar there, plus the bass really makes
the funkiness come together. Like that sharp sound in the
beat, gives it some nice pounding flavor. Iike to hear
chances being taken like that.
Nice going

nice funkiness again &mdash 06/22/05 - 11:34:05 AM
Thank you! Actually, the guitar sound is a piccolo bass. It has only 4 strings. However, it expands the tonal scope of the bass and allows for greater harmonic and melodic complexities for someone who really can't play a six-string guitar (like me).

Super groove and right in the pocket! Wish I could play
my PBass like that..... Guess I have to get it out and
practice once in awhile.
I enjoyed this piece a lot.
