Description
this is a slow blues in the key of d minor...it was recorded during the recent hot spell here at home...and I couldn't stop until it was done. I would like to dedicate this to all the remarkable people I have met in the last six weeks at macjams...you all have so much to give...and I feel like we are all part of something very new and very wonderful. So thanks Macjammers for the inspiration, and encouragement...and all the great music!!

The guitar sings.
Guitar strings.
It cries like person's voice.
The picking is wonderful.
Sung guitar.
Voice of sad guitar.
Very good music.

Nice Conversation
The thing I liked about this was that you had that guitar
talking! I think that's what all us guitarists strive for but
seldom accomplish. Just making that guitar an extension
of ourselves that just says what you want it too without
having to think about it. At times I hear it saying I'm tired
of this crap but I will persevere. It goes from the lows and
then soars to the high.

lost
in the deep deep blues... this music wafts around me,
blurs my vision and senses, and floats me off somewhere
else... a soft, sensitive vulnerable place. Wow. I have no
idea what you put into the guitar & bass, but I have a
feeling it was "everything." The music does just flow... I
was wondering how you were going to end something that
I didn't want to end, and the only nit pick I have is I didn't
like the sudden ping-pong-pan at the very end, but I was
wearing headphones, so it was more noticeable. But that
is one of the most emotional pieces I've heard for a long
time! Superbly written, played, recorded... 9s across the
board from me!

hot summer blues
I'm glad to hear that you had a heat wave in Boston,
FINALLY! It was sure cold and rainy during April & May
while I was there!

This is a great track, ziti. Sultry blues, hot and steaming
with the slow tempo. Nice use of percussion, very tasteful.

I especially like the key change towards the end of the
song, with a bit of major thrown in. The clouds parted
briefly and the sun shone through.

Nice and loose playing as usual. Free-form and flowing.
Your stream of consciousness playing combined with your
formidable guitar chops = GREAT MUSIC.

I'm glad that you're inspired by MacJams.

Good God, man...
this is so GOOD!

Like you got in my head and heart, siphoned out
everything I like in guitar, and freakin' CHANNELED it!

YOU CUT THAT OUT!

The tunes are not much alike really, but this puts me in
mind of 'Pali Gap' for some reason...I continue to love
those squeezed notes, and the definite tactile feel of your
playing...you can HEAR in this that it's a pick on strings,
and that the guitar has frets...I know you go the Line 6
route, but this sounds REALLY tube-y on my system...

You continue to be one of the people I can actually stand
to hear using a whammy bar...Cameron got it right about
the change to major...ver' cool...and the panning is nice as
well...

My first time going to straight 10's. Heck with it. What else
do I WANT?

This is my favorite type of blues.
Nice and slow with a lot of emotion. For us gear heads,
are you miking an amp? Please don't tell me you get that
sound from the GB amp simulators. If you are great job
getting the right sound. I see someone commented on
your Line6 so I assume that's the Pod. I talk gear because I
can't play THAT good.

This is my favorite type of blues.
I love the dramatic feel of the slow minor blues, too! I've checked out your
stuff, and you are no slouch....ok--gear--PRS custom 22 straight into a Line
6 flextone II direct to the computer. I don't remember which amp I modeled,
but if the memory on the amp effs up and that setting disappears I'll be
angry...I think it was the Black face fender setting...I used the little eq in GB to
tweak as necessary, but the line 6 is frikken awesome, so I don't have to
spend a lot of time on the guitar sound...it happens pretty organically...the
Paul Reed Smith is hands down, lights out the best guitar I have ever
played...and I've played alot of em!!!

When I listen to this, I feel like there's nothing between your heart and the

seems there are absolotutely no impediments between the musical ideas
that flow out of your brain and the sound. Amazing!
