You've been busy lately
Just now catching up on some of my listening and I noticed
you've got a number of new tunes I haven't gotten to yet.
This one is great. It's one of the most interesting ones I've
heard frm you yet. The drums and bass are really very cool.
You should experiment with bringing the drums foreward in
the mix a bit. There's a very cool rhythm going on there.
Reminds me of some early Adam and the Ants. The lyrics are
great and I love the different effects you use to back your
vocals, especially from the middle out through the end.
Excellent! The Rating systems is down right now, but I'll be
sure to come back and vote.

Adam and the Ants
Wow, I never actually had them in mind, or never had for that
matter, but when getting it all painted on my face like this, I
can see it too! ;) What can I say, now and then I just go with
the flow, my flow, and let the creative parts determine the
song, rather than some pre-declared style... Glad you
enjoyed, I had much fuin doing this stuff... Maybe bringing
the drums forward would help it, I'll try, thanks for the tips!

Carlos Santana as member of a chain gang
Love the sense of humor, the hipness undertones, the line
"i'm there but not quite here", in the first section. You
seemed to loose the sense of humor in the second half,
tho, so maybe my expectations were wrong. Another
fascinating concept song I dig, tho. Highlighted Indian
drumming could have added some variations, and
perhaps some Indian solo vocalizing. I lived on a
reservation while writing my first book (in 1977-78) and
Pow-wows can be very enthralling. Consider adding in a
few other sounds to keep the "spell" of the sweat hut ever
present.

I don't think I meant for this song to be humoristic per
say, look at it more like a painting; could be a Shaman
experience, could be a trip, could be something where
you are not quite aware of who you are, where you are,
and why you are. The moment is what it is about - a very
strong moment. I agree very much with variation concept
and will revise the song. I think I will also have a second
look at the lyrics, I just need the song to sink in first,
mature. I would be very interested in reading the book
mentioned, or any others of yours.
