To Wah, or not to Wah... So I guess I am a few of the MJers some of the time but to all of the time>A.L. I don't do enough wha's to invest in an expensive wah, maybe if I was Ziti I could but I am not in a band. Thanks for stopping by Ali --- The Tiler Check out my latest song called The Bluebird Cafe (with two other guest)

waaaaaaaaaah That's a real interesting wah sound, reminds me of Pavement. That wouldn't happan to be a Mutron would it? Anyway, I think the song sounds great, could be a little shorter. |

waaaaaaaaaah oh, mutron is just the name of an effects comapny that made some pretty intersting pedals in the 70's. Your wah effect reminded me of how a wah/ volume pedal they made sounds. I'm kinda of a dork about that sort of thing. |

I try to listen to my wife... whenever she offers an opinion on my music, she's usually right. The wah is silly. It's always been a gimmick and though fun, this is a great melody sort of tricked up here. I imagine you are using the GB auto-wah effect, right? It does work pretty well, but I'm gonna vote for the no wah version. Thanks for posting this though! Good job! Check out my latest song called Weather or Not w/awigze

Some Wah But Not All Wah Bill, As you know one of the things I like about your playing is you are always trying new things. I like that attitude of not being content with the tried and true. On this particular experiment, I would go with the yes use it some but not on the whole song opinion. I don't think the wah is a gimmick but can add artistry to a song if well used. However, I do think it is very hard to use it to play intricate melodies such as you do hear. I think it is more suited to add some background tones hear and there to affect the overall mood of the song. Check out my latest song called Strange Feeling

Wowwah I vote for the wah. A wonderful delicate comic effect, adding personality and interest, highlight some of your articulations well. Very interesting layer, juxtaposition. It could have used slightly more variations of sound, tho, since it might seem like a gimmick and slightly more variations in the electric sound would have helped sustain it throughout the length of the track. ...that is the question. Tis nobler to suffer the slings and
arrows of outrageous Wah-Wah.
I think the "Wah" works in some parts, but not in all the
places where you have put it.
Great track as always, TT
