Description:
A song using some new recording techniques my brother taught me, bless him.
The technique, a poor man's digital to analog warmer,record your compositions output from the computer to a cassette recorder. Then from the cassette back to the computer into peak or any audio editor. Apply the vintage warmer plug. The cassette tape adds some analog warmth and soft distortion to the digital clarity of the computer recorded composition.
Artwork is from my brothers collection of paintings, Gockel the artist.

smooth, enjoyable harmonies. Not sure about "a snatch of
some French speaking woman," have no idea what she is
saying, but it does sound cool. Maybe this digital to
analog warmth you were describing made the vocals
sound so warm? Excellent.

This is a very well-conceived and produced track. It is
tasteful in every way.
There are a lot of subtle little "extras" in this tune, such as
the "shivering" FX sound when you sing the word "shiver".
I also like the recurring rising synth organ sound at the
ends of phrases.
Nice, smooth vocals. If there were a "Smooth Jazz"

This is one of the most professional sounding songs I've
heard on this site. I definitley feel the analog warmth of
this. It would be interesting to hear an a/b comparison
bewteen the digital version, and the one you ran through

I'm not going to vote on this because it's not my style of
music and it wouldn't be fair. But my comment is that
although I recognize the excellence of your production, it
is too me overproduced. It feels more like something
constructed in a factory rather than a human
communicating with me. But this is the criticism I have of
most modern pop music and should not be taken
personally. Obviously I am in the minority here and you

attention to detail has made the song very accessible, and
it communicates and resonates with me nicely. Listening
to this is a pleasure, a sonic massage, a journey%u2026 You
have much to be proud of. Beautiful singing, very creative,
pleasing, and polished arrangement.
This type of instrumental arrangement might not be for
everyone, but it sure is for me.

.. are those harsh synths that fade up from zero. It gives
you the feeling that you'res standing still between rushing
traffic, if you know what I mean. This is classic genre

before now, unfortunately, I've been finding less and less
time lately, but dang, you're on. So much good stuff so little
time.
What you're getting out of the process you're talking about is
called "tape compression" it's a reason that a lot of high end
folks stuck to nice big analog 2 tracks for mastering for a
long time, analog tape produces a nice warm compression
on the signal if you run it between 0 and about 3 or so -
got some of us old-timers in trouble when we first started
