Description:
Second part of the PROJECT | SILENCE:

No loops, no instruments, all voices and nothing but voices (except effects)... Again, I am not sure what is going on here, I wake up every morning and have been dreaming a song - it's really weird...

Lyrics:
[ scene:father/son ]

son:
where are you who are you i'm alone in the dark i can hear you i'm scared
father i am scared and I need you i am scared of the ghosts don't betray me
they are going to eat me alive don't leave me don't leave me don't leave me
to die

father:
i'm sorry i left you
i'm sorry

son:
i can hear you in the dark i can see you i can see the light i'm near you
i can hear you laughing i fear you but i need you who's with you
mother? who's with you another? answer me father answer me father

father:
i'm sorry i left you
i'm sorry

interesting. &mdash 07/01/05 - 12:26:52 PM
this was certainly interesting. Like how u used the voices
as the background sound. A little boring at times for me,
but you got your point across, and used ur creativity.
Good Job.

Very origonal &mdash 07/01/05 - 11:55:36 PM
Kind of reminds me of some of the more experimental stuff
Todd Rundgren has done. This sounds like it actually may
have taken more effort to put together than a track with
instruments. Lots of interesting vocal effects and different
textures going on throughout. Nicely done.

I like this &mdash 07/02/05 - 11:19:55 PM
Very queer and strangely moving. Ther vocal effects are
great. Reminded me of some of that early Mothers stuff "Help
I'm a Rock" etc. Will put it on my 'weirdo' iTunes playlist. Very
unique.

Mr. S > I agree with you, it gets a little bit boring at times, I
think the song is way too long... However, it's mainly a
sketch and I am thikning of taking this one to the next
level...

jgurner > You're right, it actually did take me some time to
pull this together. Not so much the recording and singing,
but to write the music/vocal arrangements...

rovert10 > I made it to your weirdo-list, coming from you,
it's a honor! Like your stuff too!!!

Nightmarish... &mdash 07/06/05 - 06:44:18 AM
... I think Mr S is probably right. I think you need to vary
the background a little more, but it's a poweful start to
something.

Guilt like chains &mdash 07/14/05 - 08:43:52 AM
I'm glad you didn't post this under Children's Music. I dig the
chain gang feel. Guilt weighs one down like Philip Marlowe
in purgatory. The vocal instrumental break borders on
electric baby crying, a new meaning to Wah. Very inventive,
effective, affecting. (In my ears, the track was a tad too long
and could've stopped with the Shhh.) Nice track and concept,
again.
