Description
This one's been in the works for quite some time and actually started coming together when I decided to adopt lyrics I hadn't written any music to to a song I hadn't written any lyrics before. If you've ever been homesick, far, far away from home, this is how it would feel. Ironically enough, I wrote it after I came back home after almost 20 years away.

Lyrics
I wish I could See dawn breaking over head
I wish I could feel the rain on my face
All I see are the city streets in a place so far from home
And all I hear are the sounds of people running through their lives
I wish I could feel the grass under my feet
I wish I could smell flowers growing on the hill
Dirty concrete and glass and steel greet me every day
The city’s cold and the nights are dark as my heart longs for home
No matter how far I roam
No matter how old I grow
I always long for my valley home
As I walk these streets so cold
The summer’s warmth and the winter’s cold seem so far away
The stars at night are neon lights buzzing overhead
Soon these walls start growing close when the ceiling is your sky
I dream at night of the open air and the dusty roads of home
No matter how far I roam
No matter how old I grow
I always long for my valley home
As I walk these streets so cold
I wish I could See dawn breaking over head
I wish I could feel the rain on my face
All I see are the city streets in a place so far from home
And all I hear are the sounds of people though from their lives

I enjoyed everything about this, the singing, the bass, the
lyrics, the melody, everything except the synth see-sawing
through most of the song. I kept on wondering what the
song would sound like with out it.
