Description
This a live medley recorded for Jay's kids.
The first song "Rhyne" was written recently
for Jay's youngest son and the
second song was written back in 2001 for Evan. So for Evan's birthday we figured
we'd post this tune. Happy 8th birthday dude.

Lyrics
On the day you were born
The world passed me by
You can see him right now
They said with a sigh
When I walked out the front door
Didn't think it was good bye

I hardly get to see you
Don't know if I will again
A father's love for his son
Can never be undone

I hardly get to see you
Don't know if I will again
I'd give you all of my time
Sweet baby, Rhyne

Single bundle of joy
My baby boy
Holding you while you sleep
You know I enjoy
Single bundle of joy
My baby boy
Holding you in my arms
You know I enjoy

Chorus

Sunshine

I give to you my sunshine
I sing to you a lullaby
When I think of things
I did to make you cry

I want to apologize
To you my sunshine
I give to you this offering
This lullaby

Go to sleep
Have sweet dreams
May you have everything you need
I wish the best for you
I hope in time you'll see it too

You are the words to the song I sing
You are my melody
You're the same, not the same way
I used to be

Chorus

I give to you my sunshine
I sing to you a lullaby
When I think of things
I did to make you cry

Well guys, I have to admit that first I didn't like this. The
guitar seemed out of tune and some of the changes didn't
work for me. But the more I listened it grew on me and I
started realizing that it had that Nirvana sound. I do think
the bass and guitar are either out of tune or out of sync at
times. But as with all your stuff it is always interesting and
never the same ole same ole. You are always creative and
trying new things. The lyrics are very nice, I was just
telling my 23 year old son last night how when he was a
toddler he just to come get me and lead me to his crib
when he was ready to go to sleep and how he was the
most beautiful thing on earth lying there sleeping. So
another good song but one I would like to hear you
rerecord.
