Description
This song is from our band we had when used to play out. We were called
"Fodder For The Gods." This song's about a
a certain metal band, who some say have lost their way. Oh well, it's all in good fun.
Hey, at least we can all remember the good old days.

Fodder For The Gods:
Eric Richards: Lead guitar, vocals
Jay Rivenburgh: Drums, vocals
Vince Horan: Lead vocals, acoustic guitar
Mike Fuccilli: Bass

Lyrics
Back in the day the fans seemed to care
We let them dub our shows
We hadn't cut our hair
Our neutral colored album
Lit up our glory daze
Our band went up in smoke
When my hair was set ablaze

The fire blew our load
All over our good name
We tried to reload
To find sequels increased our shame
The money started to flee
With the invention of MP3
We'll give our autographs out
Don't dare burn our CD

All rights reserved (yeah)
You're gonna pay f***er
All rights reserved (yeah)

Don't know why we did it
And you may think we're bastards
But we weren't quite rich enough
So we sued and shut down Napster
One of our best songs
Was sampled by Kid Rock
We only let him do it
Because he sucked our

Our mission seemed impossible
We'll leave it up to Lars
If you download our music
You'll end up behind bars

You like you're metal heavy
We know that you do
So now we're gonna kick it old school

Metal, metal yeah

Metalliwho?
Great song again. Love your irreverent sense of humor.
When some folks do songs like this it just comes off as
crude and rude but you'll have that spark of truth that
makes it work. But you know it is amazing how many of
the hard, metal rockers that make millions end up broke.
Coke and heroin is expensive and then when they are
zombied out their managers or wives steal them blind.
I loved seeing them with their therapist though. What a
hoot!!

Yeah, the toughest thing was seeing them on Jane Pauley. Well not literally.
