Description
Another folk song, this is one of the few 'love' songs that I've ever written, it's very simple, I think. If you liked this, check out Broken Hearts, sort of the opposite of this one, and then check back next week for "Mary Alice," and "Remember the Good," two more folk songs before I move to Boston!!!

Lyrics
Pictures of you on the seventh floor,
A little box with the door,
The cat kept coming in,
I knew then, I knew then,
You always asked me when,
I'd say a year or ten,
But I knew then. I knew then.
I've never known how far I'll go
If I'm on the open road,
They say I've wanderlust
Or so I've been told.
There are places in space
Where the warmth's insufferable,
When it rains we begin again,
You always asked me when,
I'd say a year or ten,
But I knew then, I knew then
A little box with the door,
The cat kept coming in,
I knew then, I knew then,
You always asked me when,
I'd say a year or ten,
But I knew then. I knew then.
I've never known how far I'll go
If I'm on the open road,
They say I've wanderlust
Or so I've been told.
There are places in space
Where the warmth's insufferable,
When it rains we begin again,
You always asked me when,
I'd say a year or ten,
But I knew then, I knew then

How come everybody missed this one? It's fabulous; what
a great little song. That line "You always asked me when/
I'd say a year or ten/ But I knew then... " is great. That
classic descending note in the chords manages to sound
fresh again; I think it's because your vocals are so carefree
on top. Thanks for pointing me in this direction.
