Part III - See Part I for description and meaning/purpose...

Lyrics:
[ revolution III ]

stand up and fight, march for human rights
begin with your kids, teach them what is right
tell them how it is, that some people die
some people have to pay an unfair price

take back your rights, take back your time
start a revolution, fight for human rights
no more big brothers, telling you what's right
no more army's, no more more fights

join the revolution
join my dearest friend
join the revolution of love

I'm not kidding &mdash 07/08/05 - 01:26:56 PM
Everything has to be put into a context, right? But yes, I love
Monty Python.

Peace,

you say you want a revolution &mdash 07/09/05 - 08:25:43 AM
I downloaded and listened to all three Revolution songs
back-to-back (along with London Burning) so I could get
an overall feel. Since they are a package, I'll post about all
three here. The three together are very impressive. The
first on is probably my favorite, though the story of the
second one was a familiar one. My father served in WWII
and while he was proud of his sons who went into the
military, I think he was very happy that not all of his sons
had to. Revolution III reminded me very much of The
Internationale (which seems to have been somewhat
demonized here in the U.S.) A cappella works are hard to
pull off, but this one sound good. I hope people take the
time to listen to all three Revolutions. It's very much worth
it.

Gentle revolution can be the most wrenching kind &mdash 07/12/05 - 07:56:49 AM
...it takes a personal choice, becuz it is all about decisions
each of us makes. Very cool, all the songs of revolution
lately. Must be a summer thing. Love is the most
revolutionary idea, peace the most unused yet lasting
weapon. Really dig the Gentle Giant feel, the sense of
Russian chant, the folksy Les Mis epic quality. So much can
be done with the simple choices we make in our own lives.
Power to you, Mikki.

Thank you &mdash 07/13/05 - 05:18:04 AM
jgurner > Thank you for taking the time to listen to all of
the pieces. I do understand that this particular song may
not suite everyone's taste - not it's arrangement as well as
it's content - but then again, I am not trying to reach the
top 40... :) The Internationale was an inspiration to this
song indeed. I love older Russian music, well their whole
culture and history is fascinating. And yes, you're right,
one does not see many Communists around here, that's
for sure, ha, ha!

tobin > Great of you to see the personal aspect of these
songs rather then the political, which of course can be
seen if one wanted to, but I had no political attentions
with anyone of these. They are about a personal
revolution anyone of us can choose, whether that turns
into politics, well I leave that up to somebody else to
master. I for one, totally agree with the fact that a lot can
be done with just one simple voice and could write a
whole essay about it, but...

Power to you too Tobin and jgurner!

Peace!

M
