Description:
This piece was created in 1985. Simply inspired by a koto sound on my ESQ-1 and some world percussion on my D11o. The music was sequenced on a Mac 512e using Opcodes MidiMac Sequencer. Sound was generated by an Ensoniq ESQ-1 and a Roland D110 (both still in my studio) run through a Yamaha REX50 and recorded onto a Yamaha 4-track cassette. Recorded in 1985.

Hardware:
Ensoniq ESQ-1
Rolland D110
Yemaha REX50 (fx)
Mac 512e

Software:
Opcode MidiMac Sequencer 1.x

Cute little composition. You were inspired by one sound, but
this is actually a developed melody. Good variation in the
arrangement, well mixed. My compliments.

Thanks for the comments. I just re-listened to this and realized that the stereo image was lost! Probably when I brought it over from my 4 track cassette. I'll repost when I get the stereo vesion. It's much nicer.

As promised... I found the stereo verion this morning. It's now posted as Sakura (1986). Give it a listen; it has much more depth and movement.

I just like... &mdash 07/12/05 - 08:46:52 PM
...how this sounds. The tone of the koto, with that low bass
note...I just like it...it's a nice surprise, too...doesn't sound
like anything else...a-downloading we go, then...
