Brainwash Game (reworked)

Description
This is a rework of a song submitted a few months ago. No big changes, just used some of the mixing techniques I've learned in the past couple of months to make a better sounding mix.

Lyrics
plug in my ipod
tune in to the songs we played so long ago
sit and watch the tv with the sound turned down

i can’t feel
i can’t see
i can’t do what they tell me
the voices on the screen

i can’t laugh
i can’t cry
i can’t get away from
the modern brainwash game

watching static
as the satellites move in the space above our lives
listen for the message on your radio

i can’t see
i can’t feel
i can’t do what they tell me
the voices on the screen

i can’t laugh
i can’t cry
i can’t get away from
the modern brainwash game

clouds are breaking
curtains cast their shodows down on my computer screen
disconnect yourself from this cold and tired world
and step out side

Well Done!
Drums sound much better in this version, snaking synth
sounds like part of the band rather than pasted on top, vocal
production is excellent. Of course, it's same good song you
started with , but the production makes it sound better.

Well Done!
Thanks for taking the time to listen to both versions and compare. This is one of
my favorites and I was never happy with the mix but I was pretty happy with
everything I recorded before. This was inspired by Thomas Dolbly's Golden Age
of Wireless, which is an all-time favorite. Thanks again for your comments,
Mungo. Glad you liked it.

Great
This is much, much better! Very cool guitar reminding me of
Siouxie very much, the whole song does except the vocals. I
like how you really dare to bring forward the vocals in this
song, but still keeping the guitar and synth clean. Very good
mix. Nice mood and message. This is poetry to my ears,
yes!!!

Thanks,

M

Great
Thanks, Mikki. I never would have thought of the Siouxie comparison. Haven't
listened to them in a while. I'm glad you liked the tune and I appreciate you
listening and commenting.
