Lyrics
Now You Belive

Watch the man
a photograph
count the eyes counting you
save the book that
reminds who
you might be

pass the path
that shades the way you walked
when you touched the sky
don't tell anyone
who knows
ever are the ways

and there's no surprise
when you find the things
that amazed you once
were simply there
to be seen
now you believe

Welcome back
Love the guitar open. Great mix of acoustic & electric.
Beautiful runs on the acoustics. (Reminds me of the old
America.)

It's been a while big, since I have heard anything from
you. Forgot how much I like your stuff. This piece is
excellent, from the beginning, through the single voice, to
the harmonies at the end. Lovely lyrics. Mystical enough to
leave their meaning open to the imagination.

Floating
I like the feel of this, almost like floating on air. I love the acoustic bursts with the electric in the back. And great job on the vocals too. I think some sporatic drums coming in with the guitar would be kinda cool, but the song is fine as it is.

Floating
Thanks - It's funny, but sometimes it's difficult to decide when to stop with
the overdubs. We belabored about whether drums or percussion were
appropriate.

I've done two other versions: one without drums, and a chorused Casio organ
solo (instead of the lead electric guitar); and one WITH drums and a synth
french horn solo (monophonic Arp Soloist). The drums were quite well played
and gave the song a certain "urgency," but they pretty much covered up the
nice guitar work. Both solos were very nice, but we decided to go with a
more organic feel and opted for a guitar.

BTW, for those who love details, this was done without a click track. There is
one Fender acoustic performance that is both miked and lined-in (L and R).
Another acoustic guitar (an old Franciscan) was miked only (Center). The
"electric" guitar is simply the same Fender acoustic fed through a virtual tube
amp ("Amplitube," I think). The "bass guitar" is from the "Finger Bass" user
patch on my Roland XV-88.
