A reaffirming, torchy song. I love the contrast between the
strong lead vocals and the quieter more restrained BVs.
This is a great, big, tear-welling, arm-waving, lighter-
holding emotional song and I'm very impressed. Congrats.

I'm piggy-backing off mando because I agree with what he said. There is
something very touching about this piece Joanna. Songs like this one are why
I keep coming back to this site (plus I'm addicted, but that's another story,
one that perhaps mando can tell in a future Observer piece.)

I like the easy-going, almost 'gospel' vibe going on here in
this song.

Thank you, Mystie! It does have a bit of a gospel flavor. Actually, one way to
interpret the lyrics could be that it's the voice of God, though in my mind it's
about taking back and acknowledging your own individual power.

This is great, a new direction for your vocals.. I like it.
Great lyrics. I like the Backing vox too.
I would like to hear this fattened up a bit with some more
instrumentation to support your wonderful voice.
