Lyrics
As a little boy in Tennessee, my mother tried to comfort me.
So she sang a song to me.
Sweet melody.
Shadows jump like demons.
Souls and voices call to me.
May they rest eternally.
Let me be.
Through windows cut in doors,
through the cracks in the floors.
I see a ghost who waits for me.
As a little boy in Tennessee,
my mother tried to comfort me.
So she sang a song to me.
Sweet melody.
And she sang,
I know it ain't easy but try to sleep.
Come on, please don't cry,
things are getting better.
Through windows cut in doors,
through the cracks in the floor,
I see a ghost who waits for me.
I still sleep with all the lights on
so I know I'm all alone.
I think I hear a distant moan.
Calls to me.

Good tune!
I like this...slightly ramshackle sound - which sounds
good to my ears! Good vocals and playing.
Cool!

Interesting sound
Interesting composition and band! I like the simpicity and
your way of givin it a go without waiting or striving for
perfection. Even though occationally the drums could be a
little more awake, but maybe not nessecary ... even this
contributes to the charm! The piano (it is a piano right?) is
great too like that.

Well one issue ... I listened through headphones and would
have liked better if the guitar in the beginning was not
panned around. Otherwise a very charming track!

Interesting sound
Thanks LillNisse and Stevel for the comments. I was sort of going for a "ramshackle" sound, but a lot of that just comes from my limited resources (I am using the built-in mic). I really appreciate the feedback!

Way to go!
You know, this is really nice. If this is you out of practice, then I'm looking forward to hearing you warmed up. I hear what you're intending and the arrangement is sweet, you've got a great voice and a solid range. Keep up the good work.

Folk Rock
I really like this song. The verse as moments that remind me
of Simon and Garfunkel. It also has a country feel in spots.
I'd put this under Folk Rock, becuz of the over sound and the
audience you might attract. The sound is very draft quality.
The mic is far away from the piano, for example, and picks
up room ambience. But a very nice composition.

Excellent gold from the vault
You're so committed to what you do - I really admire that and I dig the production on this. Good set of lyrics too.

perfect
great song, the drums and the piano both sound so stiff and un-moving when they enter the song, forcing the tune to fit in with them. a nice touch I thought. your whole catalog seems like it should already be in my CD collection.
