two metres going on at once I think what he meant is probably that the two pianos (the one in the foreground and the one in the background) are doing things that are not aligned with each other rhythmically. The one in the background sounds unaware of what the one in the forground is doing. But I think the effect is nice. Check out my latest song called Bleed (alley-oop)

two metres going on at once Ah ha! Thanks for clearing that up. I was trying to see if I could get two different things to blend nicely whithout sounding to akward. Some of the stuff I do seems like techniques that have already been developed but I have been unable to find any books describing them! Check out my latest song called E-Minor Oct 2 2007
